Dr. Marco Antonio Albornoz, MD

I saw the doctor years ago on the recommendation of my primary at the time. They were trying to find a diagnosis. He did inform me that it could take time, which I understood. He seemed nice at the beginning, but he became too familiar, calling me sweetie or hon. He also had a weird obsession with insisting I was depressed and kept trying to put me on medication for said depression. Eventually I stopped going. After over a year and a lot of money in copays there was still no diagnosis forthcoming. I got frustrated and gave up. Fast-forward to 2020 and my bloodwork comes up with a positive test for arthritis. My current primary suggestions Dr Albernoz. I played phone tag with the appointment desk for at least a week and when I was finally able to get an appointment, it turned out that they booked me for the wrong office. I was a little irritated, but misunderstandings happen. What turned me off was that it was made out to be my fault, and I didn't even get a, "Sorry for the… inconvenience." Their message was, "If you want an appointment at the other office, it'll be a while." The staff, to me, was rude and unprofessional. Add that to my previous experience with the doctor and I will not be going to see him under any circumstances.

Very caring and kind

My first visit with Dr. Albornoz, I was very impressed. All his notes were recorded, he was on point. He spent time with you, asking you questions, giving you a chance to ask questions, things were explained too you, where you could understand what was going on with you, he really showed that he was concerned...

Dr. Albornoz is my mother's doctor. I recently went to her office visit with her. He LISTENED, he asked a million questions, he made notes (on laptop and audio recording), and his hands-on physical exam was SPOT-ON! Without missing a beat, when he discovered an issue that could be resolved in-office, he took IMMEDIATE action. He also asked me questions, asked if I wanted to add anything my mother did not, and asked me if I had any questions for him. Without boring you with the rest of her visit, I'd just like to report that I can safely say that I HIGHLY recommend Dr. Albornoz! You may have to wait a little bit for your scheduled appointment, but it is because he REALLY spends time with his patients! A RARE trait these days.

I have been Dr. Albornoz's patient for well over ten years. I consider him the best doctor I have seen todate. He listens, discusses the issue and spends the needed time with you. You may wait to see him but know that he will give you the needed time. The Best!!

Someone else posted Best. Doctor. Ever. - I agree. Absolutely the best. On time. Smart, pays attention, gives his patients the time they need; compassionate, thoughtful. Interesting and funny as well - wonderful sense of humor which is not essential in a doctor, but is a nice perk. I have, over the years, called the office at least twice to ask questions; the office staff take messages and tell me he'll call back in the late afternoon; he personally calls back in the late afternoon, every time. Absolutely reliable. I drive from out of state to continue seeing him for my issues instead of switching to a new doctor. My father goes to him too, now. We love him.

Doesn't listen and is incorrect with my dx.

This physician will take no time in diagnosing you with fibromyalgia regardless of what you came to him for. I had been diagnosed with RA 30 years ago. I was being treated by another Rheumy but was looking for another opinion on treatment options. He came recommended to me by another medical professional, Well, within 3 minutes of him entering the exam room he told me I didn't have RA but fibromyalgia AND I needed to see a therapist. Additionally said he would look over my imaging studies I brought along.....NOT....read the Radiologist reports and did not look at the images himself. So self-respecting Ortho. doc. or Rheumy takes just the Radiologist read on imaging studies. My advice, take it or leave it.....Avoid this MD.....just wants to spend a very small amount of time with you and diagnosis you with a ?disorder? that in some circles is non-existent.

I have been look for a doctor for awhile who understands what I am going thru and Dr. Albornoz is wonderful. He takes his time and is very thorough and caring. I would recommend him to anyone.
