Dr. Marcus Charles Curry, DDS

Dr. Marcus Curry is a native of Burlington, North Carolina.  He is the youngest of three children, and is a first generation dentist.  During his childhood, Dr. Curry's mother instilled in him and his siblings the necessity of education.  He received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill prior to attending Meharry Medical College, School of Dentistry.  While at Meharry, Dr. Curry excelled and received many awards including the Hill Scholarship, Dr. Jimmy B. Sheats Endodontic Award, and the American Association of Endodontists Award for the top-ranked student in Endodontics.  During his fourth year as a dental student, he held a faculty position in the Department of Endodontics as a Teaching Assistant in the Endodontic Clinic and for the Pre-Clinical Course in Endodontics.  Upon graduation, Dr. Curry enrolled in the Post-Graduate Program in Endodontics at UNC-Chapel HIll.  As an Endodontic Resident, he served as Chief Resident and …was awarded the Freedland Advanced Dental Education Fellowship as the top producing Endodontic Resident.  Dr. Curry returned to Meharry as a guest lecturer for the Pre-Clinical Course in Endodontics during his final year of residency.  He remains involved at both Meharry Medical College and UNC-Chapel Hill.
