I think Dr. Bahder is very well trained / educated!! She has excellent bedside manners and really listens to whatever you have to say and she really takes it to heart and prescribes medication accordingly.. !!

When I introduce the the subject and describe what is known as Spiritual Emergency of Kundalini Awakening, Spiritual Awakening, or "Qi-gong Psychotic Reaction, as listed in the DSM-IV, most psychiatrists are usually dismissive and assume the client is in denial of his/her of the actual diagnosis that varies in degree of severity depending on the practitioner. However, after 7 years of searching, I finally found Dr. Margaret Bahder. After explaining my symptoms and problems related to Kundalini Awakening to Dr. Bahder for 40 minutes, she very candidly explained the difference between the Western approaches to Psychiatry and understood immediately my frustration with this approach to treat the problems that often occur with Kundalini. Dr. Bahder suggested Eastern approaches to help my situation, but explained that these alternatives may not be a good fit for me, and may not solve my problems. She referred me to a group of local professionals who specialize in Reiki Energy Healing,… Intuitive Healing, and Acupuncture to work in tandem with her counseling and medication maintenance (necessary for me).Several weeks later, she held a complimentary Reiki Clinic for her clientele. We served ourselves tea and fresh fruit set out for us as we waited for our own personal team of two Reiki professionals per client. The Reiki professionals I encountered during my private session, were kind, compassionate, and helpful, and work with Dr. Bahder's clientele on a sliding scale. As an added plus, Dr. Bahder's office waiting area is quiet and calm, without the usual noisy, distracting television set in the corner, a side table with complimentary tea and and water, and a first-rate assistant who can answer any question. Her office is calm, comfortable, and quiet, with a lit candle on her desk. Truly a remarkable psychiatrist, Dr. Bahder's compassion, expertise, and willingness to meld Eastern approaches with Western treatment is simply ideal.
