Dr. Margaret Elizabeth Elfering, MD

I've known Dr. Elfering professionally and as a patient for a good 30 years. She is honest, not promising what cannot be delivered. Her office is well run and appointments have been easy to make. I understand that she will be retiring soon and I wish her the best. I will surely miss her and hope that I will be able to find someone in the pain management field that is as honest and caring as she has been to me.. An RN

I went to this doctor to get some relief from chronic pain. I had three or four appointments. She looked at me and said "I think you have..." I did not. I had already been well diagnosed and treated by a physiatrist ( a real pain specialist) but had moved too far away to continue treatment there. Dr. E. ordered all kinds of tests, told me I had gout, which I didn't, and never did more than give me a scrip for Ibuprofen.She made me feel uncomfortable when she told an inappropriate joke. The last straw was when she had me make an appointment to give me the results of a test but didn't. She said to get it from the front desk and then told the front desk that she hadn't said that and that the results hadn't been finalized in a report even though it had already been weeks and the test was done in the office.

Have never had to wait over 5 minutes - Great Doctor

Dr Elfering made what I was afraid to hear regarding my health a difficult but manageable situation Her diagnostic acumen and compassion were above reproach . My entire family felt enlightened and supported I see myself returning to my self.

Dr. Elfering recognizes that the entire family of the patient is part of the healing process. She takes the time to render an understandable diagnosis and plan of treatment for the patient and all concerned. What a hopeful experience at a time when fear is dominant...

I have had Dr. Elfering many injuries over the year. From dislocated shoulders two times, bruised hips, injuried hips multiple horse accidents. She has always done a excellent job of getting injured bodylly part healed but has always done so in a kind and professional manner. Dr. Elfering is direct and to the point and tell the patient just what it we take to heal your broken bones or torn ligaments.

Dr. Elfering had but a few months to work with me but acheived much. I wish I knew her longer, what a career she has had. A true healer, compassionate, thinking. About you her patient. What a loss we have suffered.

Dr. Elfering has retired. I miss her so much. She was professional AND made me feel like she cared. I wasn't just a number or pages in a file. I was a person to her. She would diagnose a problem quickly and render a solution just as prompt. Good Dr.'s like her are hard to find. Wish you didn't have to retire Dr. Elfering but you deserve this time so enjoy with my best wishes to you and your family :D
