Why I chose to pursue a career in healthcare:I chose to be a physician specifically because I enjoy making personal and meaningful connections with others while also putting my love of science and medicine to good use. Working with patients with chronic pain provides opportunities to make meaningful improvements in a person's quality of life and can be extremely gratifying. What I want my patients to know about me:My goal is to be the kind of doctor I would want for myself or my own family. I want patients from all backgrounds to feel respected and heard. I always aim to listen carefully, explain medical issues and treatment options in a way that is easy to understand, and use shared decision making and collaboration to create a comprehensive treatment plan personalized for you. What I do when I'm not seeing patients:I enjoy spending time with my family (including my new puppy) and friends, trying out new recipes, doing outdoor activities such as camping, hiking, and trail biking, and …going to group fitness classes such as yoga, Pilates, and indoor cycling. It's a personal goal of mine to visit all of our National Parks someday!
