Summary
I was born in Taiwan and came to California with my family at age 11. I always considered myself fortunate to have been given the opportunity to experience two completely different cultures. Learning English was fun for me and I was also able to retain my ability to speak and understand Mandarin. Like many Chinese parents, my parents wanted me to become a doctor. Of course, they were a little surprised when I told them that I want to be a doctor of the mind. However, they soon realized that it was a true calling for me. Outside of work, I am the busy mother of a toddler. I enjoy being surrounded by my family and friends, being outdoors, or going out to eat and to a movie.
