Dr. Margaret Ann Little, MD

I first encountered Dr. Little over a decade ago, as a stand-in for a weekend minor emergency at my regular primary doctor's practice. I was impressed by her quiet, professional manner. She still has a quiet professional manner which, admittedly at times, can be misread as unconcerned. She is a listener, but not quick to react, which can work overall for the good if you are like I am and prefer to pursue major issues with a specialist and refer yourself. However, at times when you are experiencing something weird and frightening, she can seem withdrawn. This, as I said, can work in your favor if you don't want to be overmedicated and overtreated. On the other hand, if, God forbid, you've been to some tropical country and picked up something exotic, or even picked up something stateside like meningitis, God forbid, you'd better be ready to go to the I'net and head for that specialist quick, fast and a hurry. She's cool and not ready to join your panic, which works beautifully at… times, and she is willing to give you that diagnostic test if you tell her you have a strong hunch that you've been struck by lightning. But again, don't expect "warm and fuzzy."

Dr. Little has been my physician for over 15 years and her attention to detail is second to none. She spends time with me to determine if there are issues behind what I am telling her and she has been successful in getting me to take better care of myself. I have referred her to many people and they are her patients now too. She is one of the best GPs in Richmond.

Dr. Little is a very good doctor who I have seen for more than 5 years. She is caring with a good bed side manner. I have had other PCP doctors, but she is the best I have seen over the years. My wife sees Dr. Little and is very pleased. I would highly recommend her.

Doctor Little has taken the time to get my migraines and BP under control, so I can function. She takes the time to listen to my concerns when I come in for my appointments and I would highly recommend her to anyone looking for a PCP. She's the best, in my opinion.

Dr. Little is my primary care physician. She always takes the time to listen to what I have to say, and is right-on with her diagnosis. I have had everything imaginable, but rarely the same thing twice. She never runs unnecessary tests, but manages to pinpoint whatever the problem is. My previous PCP always had her hand on the doorknob (literally) ready to "escape." Dr. Little has never made me feel rushed or unimportant. And she has always been kind, patient, and empathetic.
