Dr. Margaret Macgregor, MD

Dr. Macgregor assisted me after a colleague of hers failed to fully address the issues with my neck. She performed surgery on my neck 7 years after the first surgery and repaired my spine from the base of my neck to the top. I haven't felt this well in almost a decade. Because OWCP would not let me wait for a surgical date that better suited my schedule I had to have the procedure the day before Thanksgiving 2020 during the height of the pandemic, Dr. Macgregor, after spending hours the day before in surgery, came to check on my progress the day of the holiday. She is quite simply the best most thoughtful surgeon I have ever had, and I have had more than 10 procedures. Do yourself a favor and go see her first and let her assist you with your issues.

I came over from W. Tenn to see her about my back after being sent by my regular doctor. I’ve never been treated so well my whole life by anyone. She heard what I had to say and never made me feel like I was nuts. For years people have been telling me it’s all in my head but actually my pain was real. She fixed it and the pains gone. She asked me if I would right about having back surgery with the robot, I wasn’t sure but wow what a change. Thank you doctor, you are my hero!

Dr. MacGregor help me walk again! I have suffered for over 10 years with back pain and leg pain. I was at the end of my rope with other doctors and hospitals. I finally had to go to the ER @ Summit Hospital and got in touch with her office and they got me in to she her that day. She looked at my MRI’s I have had over the past years and she saw something that the others didn’t see. She told me I can fix this with a minimal surgery. So I did this and she was right, the pain was gone down to 50% but I had multiple problems in my back that had to have another surgery but it was minimal also, and now I’m also pain free after suffering for 10 years. Dr. MacGregor and her staff help me. Her bedside manners are off the chart, she explained everything to me what needed to happen and it worked. I my own words she is the best Doctor hands down if you have been dealing with pain like I have she can help you.

I had a MRI about 6 months prior to my first appt. Dr. MacGregor took the time to look at the images instead of just reading the report and saw I had a herniated cervical disc that needed to be replaced. I had the surgery almost a year ago and the headache slowly went away. I no longer have headaches and can live like normal now. If Dr. MacGregor had not have taken the time to figure out the issue, I would still be dealing with a non-stop headache and being told by a previous neurologist that it will just take time to go away. I can now get back to being the wife and mom I used to be instead of just having to be in the background of life.

She has helped me through me surgery step by step even through Nashville’s couple of disaster we’ve had lately . She’s always motivated me and gave me that push that I needed to get “walking” again literally lol!!! She is absolutely fantastic at her job and I can tell she aswell, loves what she does. I just wanted to thank Dr. MacGregor and staff for working us in this past Friday. Her clinic was delayed due to an emergency surgery she performed in the morning. We received a call at 8 AM telling us our appointment would be delayed by at least 30 minutes. It was actually closer to an hour delayed but because they called we were able to re-arrange our transportation to the appointment and no one was upset. In fact, all the patients understood and the staff kept us informed along they way. It just went to prove why she has the reputation of being one of the best out there. My doctor insisted I go to see her even though it took almost a month to get an appointment. I feel like she is the doctor for me, I'm hopeful for my treatment!
