Dr. Margaret K Merrifield, MD

As a former hospital CEO with 25 years in the industry, plus my 8 years as an officer in the Medical Service Corps of the Navy, and on top of my advanced degrees in Public Health from Columbia University, I feel confident commenting on Dr. Merrifield as my integrative health physician over the past 12 years. She is caring, compassionate, available, intelligent, competent, knowledgeable, current, articulate, sensitive, communicative, direct, insightful, and accomplished. Dr. Merrifield is the rare practitioner one hopes to find and have on your medical team. I have entrusted my life to her care, as has my wife. Dr. Merrifield has identified, treated, and solved complex medical conditions that left my team of other specialists stumped. You can not find a better human being, or a more exceptional physician than Dr. Merrifield. Unfortunately, there are not enough stars on this scale to rate her more highly.

I am a professional person who came to Dr. Merrifield for treatment for auto immune disorder along with complications. She also discovered that I had thyroid issues, (although undiscovered by other doctors), by just looking and palpitating my thyroid gland. She understood that sometimes regular thyroid tests were inaccurate. She tweaked the dosage to perfection. Then the rest of my siblings were tested and treated for the same issue. Her treatment was thorough and comprehensive. She understands the bio chemistry of the interworking’s of the body’s systems and glands and was a good detective. At one point another doctor was going to do surgery for a pain I had in my side but Merrifield knew it was due to something temporary, and it was. It was air caught in a pocket in my intestine, and this problem was relieved the next day. My autoimmune was healed after her treatments. You have to take ownership in your health with this doctor, but she is a good motivator, and the end result… is worth it. My siblings are still suffering because they are going to doctors that don’t look at the body as a whole, and don’t have the background and the correct thinking to tackle the problems associated with this problem. After leaving the area and seeing other doctors, I realize she is one of a kind.

Caring and knowledgeable. Off most of my Rx's and way more energy. I get to be part of the decision. They are really good at what they do.
