Dr. Margaret Park, MD

I used to see Dr. Park but unfortunately that’s no longer possible. Her PA is friendly but has nowhere near the depth of knowledge. I am switching to Northwestern Memorial Hospital

My first consult was with Dr Park, and she was very responsive. I could ask questions, and get responses within an hour. I came to find out, though, that though the messages said they were from Dr Park, they were actually from her PA. I wasn't being treated by her, but by her PA. I did not like the direction the PA was taking my treatment, so I let them know I wanted to see the Dr. They told me it would be three months, and I should just see the PA. When I insisted on seeing the Dr I was told that they take teamwork seriously, and to let her know if/where I'd like her to send my files. Not only does she not treat you, but she doesn't care one bit if you stay or go. And if you're wondering about the PA, she's a condescending B with a big fake smile that fails to hide her true self.

Dr. Park and her physician's assistant are disingenuous. Don't be fooled by other reviews or your first visits. I was abruptly handed off to her PA for all follow-up care as soon as I was diagnosed and treated. THREE TIMES I was told that I had an appointment with Dr. Park, and when I arrived, I saw only her PA. When I expressed my worries to Dr. Park, she didn't care. She showed no concern and simply told me to reschedule with the PA "if" I wanted to continue there. I had never been to a sleep doctor before Dr. Park, so I had no point of comparison. I have a new doctor at Northwestern, and I couldn't be happier! With my new sleep doctor I now know what it's like to have a provider who actually cares about her patients.

I have been seeing Dr. Park for sleep issues since 2010. I've had to deal with PLMD, Sleep Apnea, Narcolepsy with Cataplexy, RLS - I seriously have to wonder if I would have ever gotten on top of all that without the tenacity of Dr. Park. Now I sleep almost every night, all night, and can get up the next day for a good day. Dr. Park is empathic and very direct. Correcting sleep issues is not something the Dr. can do while the patient continues with bad habits. When you do get to gold you will value a good night's sleep like never before.
