Dr. Margaret S Ravits, MD

My wife and I can not speak highly enough of Dr. Margaret Ravitz. We have seen her in both offices, River Edge and Hackensack. The appointments are always thorough and informative. Dr. Ravitz is friendly, efficient, and knowledgeable. She also takes the time to address all questions and concerns. This is why we continue to use Dr. Ravitz and would never consider going anywhere else. Philip and Brenda Shapiro

I can’t believe people actually give bad reviews to this practice. Dr. Ravits is the guru of Dermatology. I have friends that have been treated by her for almost 40 years. PA Elizabeth Walsh is excellent! She is incredibly knowledgeable and easy going. Don’t be fooled by her title. She’s as good as any Dr. of Dermatology that I have ever seen. My daughters also think she’s great. Mindy is also a professional and is always very pleasant.

Dr. Ravitz is the rare dermatologist who gets results. We travel from NYC into NJ so we can see her — despite the plethora of dermatologists here. Can't find one to compare.

Dr. Ravits is an excellent Doctor! I had a wonderful experience from beginning to end. Her receptionists were pleasant and my wait wasn’t too long. Dr. Ravits was very knowledgeable and thorough with her examination. But my experience doesn’t end there...during my visit Dr. Ravits mentioned if ever I came in contact with poison ivy, poison oak, or something of that nature to give her a call. Well, low and behold the following week, I did! As I sat scratching my hands and face, who came to mind?..Dr.Ravits. It was Sunday and I thought, let me give it a try. Within a very short period of time Dr. Ravits returned my call! Remember this was Sunday, her day off! After her initial diagnosis and remedies there were several days that she checked in with me on my progress until she was comfortable that I was feeling better. My poison ivy is behind me, but my future with Dr. Ravits is just beginning! Oh, did I mention this was my first visit with Dr. Ravits? It is certainly is not my… last! Thank you, Dr. Ravits!

a day ago I'm writing this on a Saturday because I am still upset about this doctor visit. I will also cancel my follow up and go elswhere. I arrived 20 minutes early to my 11:30 appointment. I wasn't seen until 12:30. Thats basically an hour and half just to be seen. No one kept me updated. I had to ask if Ms. Ravits was behind since I went during my lunch hour. I get in the room and Ms. Ravits first words to me were that I should never schedule an appointment during my work day. I told her to remove the skin tags and review the sun spots on my face. She literally rushes a needle in my face and her associate is telling me to look at her as my eye are watering from the injection ahe then gets upset because I couldn't open my eyes for the before picture as the Dr. Ravits was numbing my face at the same time. I would of thrown a fit if I wasn't in shock thinking back on how unprofessional and disgusting this appointment went. Im then told she removes only 2 skin tags at a time when I… ask why she can't do all 3 of them. A total scam to drag out more money as my fiance had 9 removed at once. She merely sprays the sunspot once with frozen nitrogen with the bandaids for the skin tags blocking her from spraying the spot and only sprayed one of the 2 spots and ignored every comment I made to address the other. I'm a 30 year old home owner and military veteran not a child. I was prepared for my appointment and she blames me for having to rush. Which I nicely asked her to please not to rush and she still did. The appointment to remove skin tags should of taken 5 minutes. She blamed because she was behind. The women were all cold and I felt as though they didn't even like me before they opened the door. Total house of horrors experience. Pathetic excuse for humans let alone a doctor's facility. Such deceptive and fake reviews below. I was treated terribly and will do more than not return I will advise others to go elsewhere. I do not fund crooked Doctors or their practices.

Dr. Ravits is extraordinary. I recently traveled an hour to take my elderly mother to her and she allayed her fears while thoroughly checking her out. She really cares and her professional knowledge is extraordinary.

Dr. Ravits is such a nice person and excellent Doctor.She is very knowledgeable and knows what she's doing. I definitely recommend her.

During a Summer weekend my eyelid became inflamed and Monday morning I called my dermatologist I had been going to for more than 20 years. They told me the earliest I could see the doctor is two weeks. But I have the need now...…...sorry two weeks. I called my primary doctor who recommended Dr. Margaret Ravits in Hackensack, NJ. I called and they said they could take me in the River Edge office at 11:30AM. My call was at 10:45AM! When I arrived I did not have to wait long and I found Dr. Ravits to be very engaging. A bilopsy was taken and Dr. Ravits said I should wait in the waiting room for 20 mins. to see if the swelling goes down so as not to impede my driving. After a short wait Dr. Ravits actually came into the waiting room to check on me. When I came back for my second visit and results I was taken exactly on time.

I went to this office on a recommendation and this has been the worst experience ever. My initial visit with Dr. Ravits was okay and I felt that she was somewhat attentive. Each visit since then has been the worst. The doctor will have her back to you while she is reviewing your information, she is very dismissive, she talks over you and very fast, and when giving her your feedback about your lifestyle none of it seems relevant to her. Even when you are doing the right thing according to Dr. Ravits you can't possibly be or you wouldn't be having the problem. There is always a long wait in the office and once you are in the room, she appears disheveled (physically and otherwise) and her staff members aren't the nicest. Multiple staff members will be in the room at once and the counter tops are a mess. It seems as if no one can keep up with the Doctor and they seem to constantly apologize for her because they can see how put off you are. I called the office to ask for my records and was… told I had to write a letter. When I asked for the last name of the person to whom's attention I make the letter I was told I couldn't have it. Odd how my personal information is up for grabs in that office but I can't be given someones last name. Save yourself the time and trouble and run for the hills.
