Dr. Margaret Elizabeth Rayne, DDS

Dr. Margaret Elizabeth Rayne has been practicing for over 20 years. She attended Texas A&M University and The University of Texas, San Antonio School of Health Science. In addition, she attends numerous continuing education courses each year allowing her to constantly expand her knowledge base and help her patients in new and exciting ways. She has been in her current location for 5 years.

Dr. Rayne and her staff are committed to providing you with comprehensive dental care that incorporates awareness of the whole body, not just the mouth.
The mouth can cause problems in other areas of the body and vice versa, for example, neck and shoulder pain or chronic headaches may be symptoms of clenching and/or grinding of the teeth. Also, gum and bone disease has been linked to systemic bacterial infections that can affect the heart. In our office we do not view the mouth in isolation, but as part of a whole functioning being. For this reason we work closely with area …practitioners, both holistic and traditional, to offer a range of services and treatment modalities tailored to the individual.
Many of the patients that come to us are already working with a homeopathic practitioner, a naturopathic practitioner, a nutritionist, a chiropractor or a holistic healer. If you are not working with a holistic practitioner, but would like to, we are happy to provide you with referral information. We are familiar with the various treatment regimens and modalities that are used by these practitioners, such as acupuncture, cranio-sacral work, muscle testing, skin testing, nutritional supplementation and heavy metal detoxification, just to name a few. We do not provide any type of testing here in our office, but rather rely on the expertise o f our colleagues as outlined above.
In addition, we are well versed in the wide variety of dental treatments and materials available, and can assist you in choosing those most appropriate for your situation. Dr. Rayne will discuss your needs with you and provide you with the education necessary to make informed and careful decisions. Dr. Rayne is conservative in her approach to treatment, always starting with the least invasive option first. She is invested in preserving what you already have, saving as much natural dentition as possible. To assist you in making these choices you will be provided with a detailed treatment plan to help you understand your needs and the costs involved with those services.
