Dr. Margaret Seide, MD

My daughter has been sick for a long time. Her mental status affected her physically. Her symptoms were real but no one could tell us what was wrong. One physician told us, "It's in her head". How could someone will themselves to be paralyzed? How? Then one day my daughter got to see Dr. Seide. She spoke to my daughter, not at her. She educated my daughter in a manner which let us know that she had the upmost respect and compassion for her situation. Dr. Seide let my daughter know that how she felt mattered and that there was somebody there listening and that she would be okay. My daughter is on the road to recovery. She says that Dr. Seide is beautiful and looks like she could be related to Rihanna??. Thx doc.

Dr SEIDE was my doctor when I was inpatient at Johns Hopkins. She was bright, caring, expert. My only regret is that my stay there ended poorly. I need her help again, and do not know how to contact her. She understood compassionately what I needed. She knew and respected me, as I did her. I do need her help again. Anyone know where she is practicing? Thanks......

I have been suffering from anorexia for the past 25 years. I was admitted to Hopkins Eating Disorder's program, by Dr. Guarda, another excellent physician. Dr. Seide came on service shortly after my arrival. She spends the time to listen thoughtfully and provide incredibly insightful advice. She is truly compassionate; you can tell she cares about her patients. She devotes her time well beyond what anyone would expect. I would highly recommend her.

My dad has schizophrenia. He was very, very sick when he came to Dr. Seide - so sick that we doubted that the "real him" would ever return. He was paranoid, dellusional, unable to care for himself and unable to function in society. Despite the odds, Dr. Seide brought him back to "normal" (or, at least, very close to "normal"). He takes his medicine with little or no monitoring, is rarely paranoid, and has lots of friends and social activities. If you met him, you probably would not detect his illness.

100% positive experience. Excellent doctor . No wait time. Highly responsive. Excellent bedside manner and communicator.
