Dr. Margaret Rosalee Troxell, DO

When reviewing the reviews here, I decided as a long term patient to provide some facts and insights for those considering the need of personal health services by Dr. Troxell by providing my research summary to you before you consider seeking a Dr. or becoming a patient. Dr. Troxell is the **ONLY** BOARD CERTIFIED PHYSICIAN IN ANTIAGING AND REGENERATIVE MEDICINE in East Tennessee. She is a one physician practice which specializes in anti-aging, hormone replacement therapy, cosmetic therapy for hair, skin and rejuvenating treatments before trips to the hospital or surgeon become your only option. She is also AOA certified in hyperbaric medicine. Dr. Troxell DOES refer patients to physicians who specialize in other areas of medicine for patients who need it(such as a Cancer or Heart specialists) if she discovers that is your need and in most cases her office assists in trying to set those appointments for you, even though she is not your secretary. She opts out of insurance provider… contracts and does not accept insurance as Her services are usually beyond the scope of insurance coverage because only basic coverage or as insurance companies quote  "only if its a medical necessity" are paid for. Her services expand beyond the scope of a regular insurance policy because the patient is asking for preventative treatment and paying for individualized specific treatment plans to increase health long term. She treats the root cause not the symptoms. Dr. Troxell understands the need of patients to address their aging process and the effects it has on mind AND body. Your self confidence and self perception as well as your need and desire to maintain your vitality as long as possible. If you are looking for pain medicine or something to treat symptoms of common colds she is not the right choice, but if your looking to reverse the root cause of your issues, she very well might be. In ending I will summarize in a simple analogy, are you looking for a bus ride because it's free? Or are you looking for better service and dependability and care because you need and deserve it. If you are willing to accept responsibility that you determine that quality and not rely on your insurance company to decide for you then your managing and investing in yourself for quality treatment. Preventative care is viewed from different perspectives between what you consider prevention versus what your insurance underwriter considers. Hope that helps.

This Doctor was able to get my blood pressure under control as well as help me with my joint pain issues using alternative therapy and medications instead of pain meds. Brilliant at researching a patients issues and takes the time to give the patient her attention. I would recommend her to others who take their health seriously

Dr Troxell treated me with hormone replacement therapy and over medicated me. I recommended her to a friend before I knew and the same thing happened with her. I got breast cancer, and while no one can say for sure, it may have been from the over dose of hormones. Most of my hair fell out, as well as my friend's. Upon confrontation, she was dismissive.

Dr. Troxell treated me with massive doses of hormones. I had recommended her to a friend before I knew better and she did the same to her. I ended up with breast cancer! My cancer, while no one can say for sure, may likely have been caused by the over treatment. My friend was terrified and confronted Dr. Troxell, who treated her coldly and rudely. Stay away from this doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Troxell for several years. She helped me get my blood pressure under control and has also given me sage advice on therapy treatments and customized a schedule for me that I could manage. I would recommend her to others Thanks

I was having symptoms of shortness of breath with minimal exertion. My primary care physician thought that I was out of shape and had no problems. Dr Troxell referred me to a cardiologist. The cardiologist found that I had pulmonary atrial hypertension, which was verified by a pulmonologist. PAH is an uncurable fatal condition. Now treatment is available to improve the effects of PAH.

Dr. Troxel in my opinion is on the cutting edge of preventive diease. I highly recommend her.

First time visit with doctorâ??s office. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Answered administrative questions but left doctorâ??s matters to the doctor to answer. Very informative. Visit with doctor â?? she was very professional, polite and nice. Did a through exam and asked good questions to get an overall assessment of health. Provided clear direction on how things would proceed and what was to be accomplished next visit. Price for services were provided up front on phone prior to visit with office. Once in the office that price did not change. She discussed tests that were needed and prices for those test which were in addition to the visit charge. Since no insurance was available to cover the doctorâ??s visit, she did limit and carefully plan what services were offered. Other patients in office commented how great the doctor was and care given prior to visit.
