Best experience with a doctor. Thourogh and professional. Wish all my healthcare experiences were like this

I saw Dr. Wilkes in the middle of my first bout with an autoimmune issue after being hospitalized. Severe joint and muscle pain, numbness in extremities, dizziness, chronic low grade fevers, muscle spasms and rather debilitating costochondritis. Mildly positive ANA. No diagnosis other than costochondritis. At the prompting of my hematologist, I returned after a decade of anemia, chronic joint and muscle pain, and costochondritis to find out what my diagnosis was. She did not touch me. She never assessed trigger points. When I asked what her diagnosis was, she said, “You have fibromyalgia. It means when someone hugs you you say ow.” I never went back. Seemed to solely on labs. Very rushed. Seemed irritated.

Dr. Wilkes has been very insulting to a family member of mine. She has felt judged and disrespected and made to feel that her condition and pain seem to be an inconvenience and joke to Dr. Wilkes. She has told this patient several times that if they were not overweight, they wouldn't have pain. She obviously doesn't care about their medical history or hereditary arthritis. When this patient cancelled their next appointment, she even went so far as to have one of her staff call to say that Dr. Wilkes sent in a prescription for ‘pain medication’ to their pharmacy. Upon calling the pharmacy, Dr. Wilkes had prescribed an anti-depressant as if to further insinuate their pain is not valid or worth her time. Our entire family is extremely disappointed in the treatment received and it will not be tolerated.

Dr. Wilkes has been a supportive, caring and pro-patient doctor. She has gone the extra mile to give me the attention I needed.

After being sick for 7 months seeing 6 different specialist Dr Wilkes diagnosed me.

Dr Wilkes was amazing. I have seen her several times and has gotten my condition under great control. She is attentive and concerned about me. I would recommend her highly.

I was told by another doctor to see Dr Wilkes because she was the best at solving really tough cases. She ia an excellent diagnostician. She has really helped me and has given me much hope for my condition.

Her office staff were friendly,professional & efficient! I've never had a first office visit go so smoothly. Dr.Wilkes is warm,and very engaging, immediately putting me at ease.

Dr Wilkes is fantastic!! She knew exactly what I had when 5 other docs couldn't figure it out. I wish I would have seen her first.
