Dr. Margaret W Zdarzyl, MD

Dr. Margaret always spends more than enough time with her patience and their parents as well as makes herself available to answer questions at any time. Very personable and caring.

We have been with Dr. Margaret for over 14 years now. She is a lovely person....a wonderful mother, wife, & pediatrician and I consider her and her office staff to be like an extended party of our family. For over 14 years now, Dr. Margaret and her staff have gone above and beyond for all three of our boys. We live 45 minutes from Dr. Margaret's office and she is such an outstanding doctor that we are willing to make the drive and don't even care to look for a pediatrician closer to our home. Dr. Margaret has been not only on top of health situations with our sons' allergies, heart/kidney issues, asthma but was the one who discovered them. If our boys have to see a specialist, I have all their records sent to Dr. Margaret and she keeps track of everything that is going on with our boys' health even if they have to see another doctor. She has been on top of diagnosing pneumonia and food allergies and always, always makes time to talk to me about any questions I may have. I… appreciate that she always tries to do the least invasive procedures first when trying to diagnose any health issues with our boys, while still getting an immediate diagnosis. Dr. Margaret makes a point of discussing not just our sons' medical issues with me as a mom, but also makes it a point to find out what our family life is like at home...we discuss everything from the importance of healthy eating habits, child rearing, family communication skills, education, and wearing seat belts, to good sleep habits, pros and cons of immunizing your children, breast feeding, good sleep habits, puberty, and more. Dr. Margaret ALWAYS returns my phone calls too when I have a question for her, and goes out of her way to call me at home and follow up on how our children are doing if there has been a health concern Our three boys 14, 12 and 9 LOVE her and her staff. This is important because the fact that I love her is not enough...our boys have to love her and be willing to be open to talk with her and be examined by her. She and her staff are welcoming, fun, patient and kind. They always have been able to squeeze us in when the boys have an emergency. One of the gals in front, Amada, even spent a considerable amount of time with our PPO health provider making sure I could get my son's blood pressure cuff covered. I am sure she spent her entire lunch time dealing with my insurance company and was happy to do it for us. When I thanked her, her reply was ...no problem it was my pleasure. ...and that has been our experience with them for 14 years!!!!. They have made us feel like they are happy to do their jobs and that we are not a bother when we call with questions. Blanca is another one who we adore and has been with Dr. Margaret for many years. Veronica is so kind and helpful too. Dr. Margaret and her staff are always up to date on the most recent viruses, vaccines and health issues...that is extremely important to me. I always ask a million questions related to fevers, how to treat a sprained ankle, what to do with a certain rash or a cut lip or an ear ache...and they are always happy to help. They make time to fill out and FAX and mail me any school or extra-curricular medical forms and do it in an accelerated amount of time. I cannot recommend Dr. Margaret and her staff highly enough. Keep up the great work Dr. Margaret and staff...we think the world of you guys!!!!

Dr. Zdarzyl has been caring for our family for 10 years now. She has always been responsive to any concerns I have had over the years. I feel confident and at ease after each visit, knowing that I can trust her medical opinion. Dr. Zdarzyl will always follow up with a phone call after a visit when necessary and never fails to call me back when I have questions. Her staff is upbeat, friendly and courteous. Professionalism, and smiling faces make for a happy practice!

The doctor is great she does everything that is in her hands to have my child seen by a specialist seen right away.

I just wanted to say how appreciative I am of Dr. Margaret. A couple years ago I had a really bad stomachache. It lasted what felt like forever. After 2 days of this pain my mom took me to my regular doctors office (it wasn't Dr. Margaret) and this doctor did labs and x-rays and couldn't diagnose me. After seeing how this doctor was clueless of what was going on with me my mom took me to Dr. Margaret the next day.A friend had recommended her. Dr. Margaret examined me and w/o doing any test she automatically new I had appendicitis. I was admitted to CHLA, the doctor's there said if I had waited one more day I could have died. I thank Dr. Margaret so much for paying so much attention to me and KNOWING EXACTLY what she was doing. She is truly AMAZING!!

I have taken my children to Dr. Margaretfor years now. We do not have insurance and Dr. Margaret has been so kind to work with us in that regard. She is very no-nonsense and is very quick in giving directions and diagnosis, but she is willing to answer any questions and to take the time to explain until I understand. I completely trust Dr. Margaret's ability and knowledge in treating my children. Four out of seven of my children have been treated by her, she respects my knowledge as their mother and works with me. She has brought us through a few serious illnesses. I have complete trust in her.

Dr. Margaret is a wonderful Pediatrician. She is a smart, experienced expert in her field. She has a no-nonsense, Eastern European approach that can put some people off, but I appreciate a doctor who does not coddle or tell you what you want to hear. She treats my daughter like a small adult, explaining everything she is doing so she will not be scared or confused. The nursing staff is also wonderful, especially the sweet woman who gives all vaccinations. She is quick and always caring. I have never had an issue with the office staff, who if anything, are excessively patient with me when I'm trying to juggle my schedule around to make an appointment.

1st:The front office staff is clearly uneducated in good manners of discretion, are argumentative until it is apparent you will take your matter up with the Doctor, generally disinterested in the customer.The doctor seemed very tired. 2nd:Rude/apologetic/rude/apologetic while making a sick child spend almost 2 hours in the offices (15 minutes with the doctor) to be told they have a virus . The support staff of any business reflects the Leadership and that tags this business as everything this Country has come to despise about managed care.

Dr. Margaret has been my son's dr since birth, but now that he is older, we are taking him elsewhere. He gained a lot of weight while on a necessary mood stabilizer (he is high functioning autistic) over the past two years, and the last time she saw him she totally was poking him in the chest and yelling at him about his weight. I was horrified. He, of course, was crying and screaming at the top of his lungs. I will never take him back to her again.

Dr. Margaret is great but sometimes her staff makes us feel like we are Inconveniencing them.
