Dr. Margarita B Diaz-Pino, MD

We contacted this office as a result of receiving a referral from Avmed Magellan Assist for Dr. Margaret Diaz-Pino, my husband originally called to make an appointment for our daughter only to be met with a very rude receptionist who answered the phone. The receptionist told my husband they do not accept Avmed Insurance. I called back and asked for her name, she told me Megan. I explained to her that she just spoke to my husband and was very rude to him, further explained that this was a psychiatrists office who we are calling to get some help for our daughter. She said I am sorry, I am not sure what to tell you, we do not accept Avmed. I asked who her supervisor was and wanted to speak to them. She told me there is no supervisor, I said everyone has a boss, who is your boss? She told me the doctor, I asked to speak to them, she said they were with a patient. I asked for an email address, she said they do not have an email address but I can take your name and number and have… them get back to you. I told her no thank you, I will find contact information on line. I believe the provider needs to know that their staff is less than adequate, I would think that someone in this position would be compassionate and helpful, Megan was not. I cannot rate the doctor as I was unable to get past the staff. I have filed a formal complaint with Avmed hoping this information will get to the doctor so they are aware of their staff issues.
