Dr. Margery Ruth Johnson, MD

I do not recommend this psychiatrist upon my worst enemy. I had a horrible experience with them. They refused to listen and work with me and persisted on pushing their own agenda and beliefs on my care. Put me on a drug that wasn't working for me and wouldn't agree to trying something else. Never was willing to listen or discuss my life as a doctor that advertises "Psychotherapy," in their out of pocket sessions. A doctor should know proper communication is crucial in prescribing you a proper and safe drug, a lot of Brain altering drugs can be very intense and scary when adjusting. I found myself in scary mindsets and situations and upon telling them I wanted to try something else, each time they decided to instead up my dose on a drug that is known to be hard to ween off of, this happened several times. My new psychiatrist made a comment on how they've never seen the drug prescribed so high. I've had one session so far with a different doctor and I'm doing drastically better than I… have been so used to. The right doctor and the right drug is out there, if it doesn't feel good, if its not helping, leave and try someone else, you will know when its right.

Dr. Johnson has been a pleasure to work with. She is exceptional at coordinating patient care with other treating professionals which enhances the quality of care the patient receives. I have complete faith and trust refer many patient's to her.

Dr. Johnson has seen my daughter for over a year. in that time, she has rejected my requests for treatment or re-evaluation for depression and anxiety which were indicated during inpatient treatment by several other doctors and staff.
