Dr. Margit Lisa Walker, DO

I was a patient of Dr. Walkers at Valley Medical Group and was sad to see her leave. She is an excellent doctor, great listener and communicator. I was having many digestive issues as well as menopausal issues and she helped me find an answer that worked for me. I have referred several friends to her which have been as happy with their care.

Curiosity and empathy: two qualities without which a doctor's career should be, in my opinion, dead on arrival. Dr. Walker has neither. I arrived for my first physical with her with a variety of health concerns--IBS, insomnia, anxiety, hormonal instability, sinusitis--but since nothing was run-of-the-mill straightforward, she gave me a referral for a GI doctor, asked if I had a psychiatrist--the rest isn't worth describing. Basically, she did the BARE MINIMUM POSSIBLE, including a barely-5-minute physical exam, to get me out of the office. When asked to rate my stress level, I said "exponential." She didn't even muster a raised eyebrow. In short, this doctor seems to have no interest in medicine, no interest in the health of her patients, and zero interest in any attempt at a bedside manner. In the forms they make you fill out, they always ask "What is your level of interest in doing your usual activities?" In this case, I think it's the doctor who needs a check-up.
