Dr. Margo Ann Taylor, MD

Saw her in UrgentCare Saw her in Urgent Care. I need an Advocate doctor here in Lafayette, and was checking to see if she had an office for patients. Felt her courteous, yet professional bedside manners.

I know she was in a hurry, but I don't think she realized that I just needed to know what to do for my son who had been sick and feverish for nearly a week. We were concerned about a possible AML relapse, but she only realized that when she was halfway out the room (she was in there for about 30 seconds). She was willing to draw a cbc to check for AML, for which I was grateful. I am still not sure exactly what she saw in my son's ears (she spoke so quickly), and she used her leverage ("I'm the doctor, you're the patient. I know better") to get a random x-ray that was not indicated at all from either the patient history nor the actual exam (she said his lungs sounded clear). When I asked to not have the x-ray, she assured me that it would change the actual way we would proceed and that it was necessary. I didn't want any more radiation to my son than he had already gotten from many CTs and previous x-rays, and I was really upset that my concerns were completely ignored!! I have… had a lot of experience with doctors, but I've never had one that so clearly had no idea what my concerns were and what I really needed!
