Dr. Maria Celeste Asis, MD

I have been a patient of Dr. Asis for many years. I have always found her to be professional and caring. She has never rushed through any visits with me and she is not only a good listener, she is thorough and gives good sound advise. Her and I have had one disagreement in the past and it has not affected our relationship. She has always been there for me whenever I needed her, even on weekends. I would rather fight then switch her out for another doctor.

Based upon the reviews I thought Dr. Asis would be a good fit for me. However when I called to make my very first apt. the office staff was less than friendly - I was asked for my insurance number and code, as I I was traveling, I did not have that info readily available. (I was anxious to make my apointement as I was told that the doctor was booking out three months, and I wanted to be seen sooner rather than later.) The receptionist abruptly told me that if I was not able to provide my insurance information over the phone, they would not make the apointment. Period. So regardless if Dr. Asis is a wonderful doctor or not, so much of the patient interface happens with the reciption staff, and if they can't be helpful now - with me as a new patient, the likely hood is that it will only get worse not better. Too bad. I found another doctor.

Other than the long wait. Dr. Maria Asis is a very caring doctor.

Excellent Dr. I needed a hysterectomy which she did not rushed me in to. She told me what to expect and eased my mind. She also called me the night before surgery just to talk and make sure I had no problems or questions. She is very easy to talk with and takes plenty of time to answer all questions, concerns.

She delivered my daughter and I could not have asked for a better OB. She and the entire team at Asis (Tony Asis and Sean Flaherty were the ones I spoke with most often besides Maria) were just awesomely cool, nice people. I am mystified by the negative comments from other patients; I've always felt the support staff was friendly and helpful. I'd recommend team Asis any day. Absolutely.

I have been seeing Dr. Maria since I was 18 years old, I am now 30. She is by far my favorite doctor! She is so caring and genuine, I never feel like a number to her. I wish all doctors were like Dr. Maria Asis.
