Dr. Maria Bella G Natividad, MD

I would be remiss not to leave a review here as I'm searching for a new doctor. I actually didn't come here with that intention, but when I saw my previous doctor's name show up on the list, I felt inclined to do so. Dr. Natividad herself is wonderful. She's very kind, listens, and doesn't rush into treatments. However, her front desk staff and nurses are absolutely awful. I wish there was a way to sugarcoat it, but there isn't. Now, you might think, "oh, well that doesn't matter, I only have to speak to them briefly when scheduling and arriving for an appointment." I, too, thought that. I was incredibly mistaken. Getting any of them on the phone is a triumph in itself--they put you on hold forever, and once I was in the office, I saw that it wasn't because they were busy, it's because they were in the middle of a social conversation amongst themselves. When they do get on the phone, they're rude. Every time. I was NEVER able to get a sick visit when I needed it, not… because of the doctor's availability, but because the person on the other end of the phone would argue with me and try to talk me out of making an appointment. I once had one of the girls tell me that they don't like to deal with sick people! Well, everyone can't just come to the doctor for a well visit. I also had one tell me once "Oh, well there's clearly something wrong with you if you're having those symptoms. Go to Urgent Care." And those weren't the worst of the conversations, but some of the others deal with medically private info so I won't go there. I would get so frustrated that I would just give up, and that's not the way dealing with a doctor's office should be. More than once, they faxed me someone else's lab work, with all of their personal info on it and everything. The first time I chalked it up to a mistake, but the second time and I realized that they just don't pay attention. When in the office waiting for a well visit, more than once I overheard them (not quietly) talking badly about a patient that just left the office, or gossiping about someone else's medical records. There seemed to be zero accountability for respect, kindness, and privacy. I was tempted to make my well visit this year with Dr. Natividad just to express these concerns, as they refuse to pass them along to her, but I can't keep wasting my time with her staff. I'm not sure how she keeps missing the reviews about them (see yelp), or maybe she just disregards them, but either way, it's so unfortunate that she won't flip her office team to mirror the care that she intends to give to patients.

Dr. Natividad listens to my concerns and is very knowledgeable. I have had problems with dealing with her office staff recently.

Dr. Natividad was very friendly and took the time to sit and talk with me about all aspects of my health. Her front office staff were equally as kind and respectful. Very satisfied with my appointment.

Dr. Natividad: is amazing !!! She is always helpful, listens, takes time with me, and genuinely cares about my well-being. She is busy, so it may take some time to get a call back. But she has helped me with major health concerns very effectively for years. I have to drive 45 minutes each way to see her. So she'd better be good, right?! Ha! Great bedside manner and very knowledgeable. The staff: can be hot or cold. They are under a lot of pressure so I try to give some leeway. I have spoken to a rude person now and then. That means I might have to call a couple of times to get what I need. Dr. Natividad is worth that little hassle. Also when I expressed how urgent things were, they definitely were more attentive and helpful. p.s. They just moved their offices in Nov. 2016 from Ballston to near VA Hosp Center. It was a bit hectic this fall during the move. NO more parking fees now!

Dr Natividad is very professional & caring doctor and we have been w/her for more than 10 yrs; however, as of today/Wed/Nov 2nd, her office is closed & my daughter noticed a sign that says "moved"... but no location. We would like to retain her as our PCP if possible and would like to know where she has moved...?

great doctor, very professional and caring. shes been my doctor for 21 years. she has been very caring and helping me to recover from colon and liver cancer. i met her after my surgeries at gw hospital .when ever she moved to another location i have always followed her. i live in waldorf md. and i drive a great distance to see her.thats how much i love her.i will continue to see her as long as i live and she remains a doctor

She is a very warm and caring doctor, very thorough.

Dr. Natividad is exceptional, the best doctor I have had.

Dr. Natividad is great. Her front desk staff (with the exception of Kelvin) is awful, in fact, they're so bad that it's not worth going there to see her. I've been going there for years and more often than not you have to wait on hold for at least 15 minutes just to speak with someone, so you're already frustrated by the time you get to someone and then they're rude and give contridicting information from one front desk person to another. I would have given 0 stars for "courteous stafff" but the ratings widget won't let me. If Dr. Natividad leaves and goes to another practice, definitely go see her, otherwise stay away.

I have been a patient of Dr. Natividad for over fourteen years. She is an excellent doctor. She always has time for me to talk over any concerns that I have. Her staff is courteous and always helpful. I have give the Advent Health Group to many of my friends and I have given the group five stars
