Dr. MARIA BONTRAGER, OD is a BOARD CERTIFIED OPTOMETRISTMaria Bontrager attended Texas State University and graduated Summa cum laude in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in biology.She then enrolled in Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, TN. During her fourth year of training, she completed internships at Wind River Family and Community Healthcare in Arapahoe, WY and Child and Family Eyecare in Wichita, KS. She graduated cum laude in 2022 with her doctorate in optometry. She was the recipient of the COVD Excellence in Vision Therapy award. Dr. Bontrager completed a 12 month residency in Vision Therapy and Rehabilitation at Draisin Vision Group in Charleston, SC. She is excited to be back home in Bastrop County.
