Dr. M. REGINA Castro, MD

As the companion of a Mayo patient, I've seen Dr. Castro's kindness and patient-centered approach first-hand. She's a gem and I'm grateful that a patient I love is in her care.

Dr. Maria Castro is the best endocrinologist ever. Dr. Castro diagnosed my rare thyroid disease a couple of years ago, and has seen me through the ups and downs of what has turned into a crazy adventure. Dr. Castro is smart, intuitive, and incredibly skilled, and I am so fortunate to have her in my court.

I have never met a doctor so insensitive and not willing to listen to a patient in my life.

Not sure who gave her a diploma, Mayo Clinic is questionable for hiring her. They are very behind on thyroid issues. I have hashimotos and she told me they don’t do anything for that. Really? She should go back to school. I can help a patient more than she can. Do not waste your time. She should be fired and Mayo needs to get up to speed on thyroid issues.

Dr. Castro was very rude and in a rush. When I tried to share my signs and symptoms, she wouldnâ??t listen. I had a short appointment and did not receive help. I do not recommend her.

Seeing Dr. Castro was the worst experience I have ever had in a doctor's office. She walked in and did not introduce herself to either me or my mother who was with me. She did not listen to me when I tried to explain my symptoms. In fact, every time I tried to speak to her, she interrupted me. In one instant, she disagreed with the other four doctors I had seen at Mayo and basically told me that I was stupid. I would never see her again and I honestly have no confidence in her opinion.
