Just one of the many aspects that makes Dr. Maria Cavalier’s dental practice so wonderful is the staff. Dr. Cavalier’s dental team has all the attributes necessary to make our patients feel right at home as soon as they walk in the door. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional general and cosmetic dentistry services while treating patients like family. We know what it is like to sit in a dentist’s chair, and every effort is made to ensure your comfort and calmness. We will explain the work to be done in great detail and answer any and all questions you may have regarding your treatment. We treat you the way we expect to be treated when we’re in your position.
The Team
Jennifer, Office Manager, began her career in dentistry twenty years ago as a dental assistant. She then continued on as a licensed Expanded Functions Assistant and is x-ray certified. Training with some world-renowned dental labs, she did a lot of lab work for the office. After learning and working in many …areas of the practice, she became the Office Manager eleven years ago. Jennifer’s goals are to keep the office running smoothly and keeping the patients happy. Jennifer and other staff members keep current on the latest advances in dental technology through continuing education at LVI.
Megan, Dental Assistant and Registered Dental Hygienist, has been with Dr. Cavalier’s dental practice for six years. She graduated from Westmoreland County Community College Dental Hygiene Program in May 2002 with an associate’s degree in dental hygiene. Megan also graduated from Seton Hill University in May 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in business. She has attended an LVI course and is up to date on all of her continuing education credits. Megan not only utilizes her hygiene degree but assists Dr. Cavalier on cosmetic cases. Megan has a passion for dentistry and outpatient care, which has led her to pursue further education, in hopes of becoming a dentist in the future.
Tammy, dental hygienist, has been practicing for 16 years and has been with Dr. Cavalier for 8 years. She has an associate’s degree from Allegheny College in Cumberland, Maryland and enjoys all aspects of dentistry, especially working with young children. She educates children in several school districts on behalf of Dr. Cavalier throughout the year and also speaks to adults. Tammy specializes in tooth whitening at our practice and works part-time. She and her husband have three children.
Tracy, dental hygienist, has been practicing since she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Dental Hygiene from West Virginia University in Morgantown, West Virginia in 1987. She has been with Dr. Cavalier for ten years. Tracy works full-time and is completely dedicated to all aspects of dental treatment. She specializes in periodontal treatment and preventative measures. Tracy has also been educated in several LVI courses. She resides with her husband, Michael, and their two cock-a-poos, Sydney and Gracie.
Bonita is our Expanded Functions Dental Assistant and has been with Dr. Cavalier for seven years. While here, she has acquired many skills. She assists Dr. Cavalier and has various lab skills and techniques. Bonita is also beginning her journey through LVI training and has attended many courses already. Bonita and her husband are raising two young boys.
