Dr. Maria Chiyung Chou, MD

Dr. Chou is not a very kind doctor. She has a very direct approach to her patients. During my visit she actually told me that I had fibromyalgia and was going to have pain. I would just have to deal with it. No suggestions, no options, no support. I would never recommend her to anyone. Please select another doctor at this practice.

Dr Chou is a Great Doctor. She takes care of my Arthritis in my hands and knees. She is very thorough and caring. And I don't have to wait long to see her. I like her office!

Excellent doctor

I ended up seeing her after the original dr that my gp referred me to said that they were no longer taking my insurance after the 1st of the year. She dismissed all of my symptoms after seeing my tonsils and concluded all of my problems were caused by strep even though when my issues started I didn't have strep. She wouldn't listen after that but tested me for lupus again anyways along with strep. Both came back positive. She threw the positive lupus test even though all my symptoms match lupus. She concluded that I had strep and that caused all my arthritis and the arthritis stuck around after the strep was gone. She also said that she won't entertain the idea of anything unless I'm still in pain a month later. I've currently been in pain for 3 months. She even said strep doesn't stick around that long in my first appointment with her.

I've been seeing Dr. Cho for 2 years and never had a problem with her or staff. Dr. Cho took her time with me, ran test after test till she was able to diagnose me. She has a bed side manner, very personable and explains the diagnose to you throughly. I highly recommend Dr. Cho for she's a caring Dr.

I have been seeing Dr. Chou ever since she joined Arthritis and Pain Assoc in Greenbelt. I think this was about 2 years ago. She has been so patient, kind, and thorough in treating my disease. I would highly recommend if you are looking for a great rheumatologist.
