Dr. Maria Esperanza De Pool Ortega, MD

I encountered Dr. De Pool through Vitas Healthcare hospice. Unfortunately, she exhibited subpar bedside manner, discussing my mother's medical appointments and mortality in her presence. Later, when my mother developed an infection, Dr. De Pool failed to take action. I had to consult other physicians, who advised me to hospitalize my mother. Hospital doctors informed me that timely treatment of the infection was crucial, as it could have been fatal if left untreated. Despite my mother's complaints of pain, Dr. De Pool remained unresponsive, merely smiling in response. Based on my experience, I failed to observe Dr. De Pool's purported medical expertise.

Dr De Pool is a woman of compassion, insight and dependability. I wholeheartedly recommend her as she has been assisting in the care of my dear Mother. Dr De Pool has been so supportive and so very understanding. Words cannot express my gratitude.
