She is the best pcp I have ever had the pleasure of meeting. For years I suffered from a chronic condition that no other Dr was able to diagnose. I went to Dr. DeJoseph to talk about having my thyroid tested as thyroid disease is very prevalent in my family and I was experiencing some dry itchy skin and an unexplained weight gain. She noticed a new tattoo and decided that I needed to be tested for HIV, hepatitis and a slew of other communicable diseases. She was rude and condescending. I explained to her that I use a very reputable tattoo artist and that I had no concerns about any communicable diseases- which would not explain the symptoms I was there for. She didn't listen to me. She sent me off to the lab with a script for some blood work at a cost of $2,678!!!! The thyroid test I requested should have been about $30. I have absolutely no confidence in this doctor and warn you, especially if you are young, that she will not likely hear you when you speak to her- or familiarize herself with your health history as this experience triggered a severe anxiety attack- something she should have been careful to avoid based on… my medical records.
