Dr. Maria E Duque

A life-long "Islander", Dr. Duque graduated from Adelphi University with a B.S. in Biology and continued her professional education at the New York University College of Dentistry, receiving her Doctorate in Dental Surgery in 1994.  While attending NYU, Dr. Duque achieved distinction by graduating with double honors in Comprehensive Care Clinic and Periodontics.  Additionally, she was awarded the Quintessence Publishing Award for clinical achievement in Periodontics.
Following her graduation from NYU, Dr. Duque completed her residency at the Catholic Medical Center of Brooklyn and Queens, which is affiliated with the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.  While there, she received extensive training in Oral Surgery as well as Oral Medicine & Pathology.
Upon completion of her residency, Dr. Duque began practicing in Manhattan and Long Island while also holding a faculty appointment at NYU in the Basic Sciences Division.
Over the past sixteen years, she has continued to provide …excellent service to her clientele while enhancing her dental skills and knowledge through advanced training and professional Continuing Education courses.  As such, Dr. Duque is a current member of the highly regarded Long Island Dental Forum.
Dr. Duque is also a member of the American Dental Association and its constituent Dental Societies and is proficient in all phases of General Dentistry, including Restorative and Cosmetic procedures, Endodontic Therapy, Periodontal Therapy as well as restorative phases of Implant Dentistry.
Outside the Office
Dr. Duque enjoys spending time with her husband and son as well as her extended family and friends.  When time permits, she also enjoys all outdoor sporting activities, travel and gourmet cooking.
