The doctor was excellent - to bad her nurse is not friendly.

Dr. Maria Hernandez cares about her patients and also is an excellent surgeon. I highly recommend Dr. Hernandez for any of your OBGYN needs.

I have seen her 3 or 4 times and she doesn't seem to know what to do for my condition. She has not made an attempt to help. It's as though, if she doesn't know--just let it go. My issue is painful and chronic. I've had to go out of state to another doctor to help me, and they do know what to do...they're not OBGYN'S either!! She is in a real hurry, can't remember what she's told you or what's in your chart. She says one thing but actually means something else, as well as talks down to me. I will never recommend her to anyone. She lacks compassion, professionalism and knowledge. I've had doctors refer me elsewhere when they needed to, but not her. For me, I believe letting her patients suffer is her specialty.

I really liked the good, professional service that she provided for me. She was knowledgeable and caring. I had a bladder control problem and she had her assistant do the testing and then she talked to me and then we decided what was best for me and she surgically took care of the problem during/right after the other doctor performed my hysterectomy. It was an excellent experience for me.

I was extremely happy with Dr. Hernandez. I am post-menopausal and had a prolapsed bladder and uterus requiring a hysterectomy and bladder suspension. I had 4 doctors opinions and was most happy with her detailed explanation of what needed to be done and why. In addition, I had to make the decision to have my ovaries removed or not even though I did not have a history of ovarian cancer in my family. Again, I had other doctors opinions, and discussed this issue in length with Dr. H. She did not push me either way but let me make the decision based on the facts she gave me. She was more than happy to take the time to answer all the questions I had and make me feel totally comfortable to call with any other questions or problems I had before and after surgery. I was concerned about having the operation at Davis Hospital but she assured me that she had never had a problem there and was most comfortable with "her team". My experience pre and post surgery at Davis Hospital and with… Dr. H was good. I would wholeheartedly recommend Dr. Hernandez for her expertise, professionalism, and outstanding customer service/bedside manner.
