Dr. Maria Luisa Johnson, MD

Dr. Johnson was the on call doctor the night before an ice storm. We had been calling the office for 3 days without any response for my elderly mother who had thrush in her mouth due to the inhaler she has to use and was bad and it was getting worse every day and we were desperate to get it before the ice storm hit. I called and explained everything. The answering service called back and said the doctor said to get with the office in the morning. I explained again that we had already tried 3 times and that’s why we were trying the after hours. Also we were trying to get this done before the ice storm hit. They obviously couldn’t do anything. This was an extremely simple task the doctor could’ve helped with and chose just not to. This has been a problem for her before that has caused her extreme complications while in the hospital. The thrush will only continue to get worse, especially having to use her inhaler and breathing treatment. We’re worried her only option will be the emergency… room if there is a storm now. I will be filing a complaint on Dr. Johnson.
