Dr. Maria Carmen Lijo, MD

Office is dingy, peeling wall-paper and scotch taped notices all over the doors. I expect to wait there, but this time I waited a hour and a half to see the doctor, just to get a referral for a specialist. Then Dr. Lijo started telling me involved stories about her childhood and her son. When I asked a medical question to bring the appointment back to my concern, she told me she didn't eat yet today and didn't have time for my questions on this visit and I could make another appointment for my questions!

Dr Lijo, I wish you could make me feel better once, during my visits. Once I had ear infection and Dr. Joseph was not available, to my bad luck I ended up visiting Dr. Lijo, she did not treat me properly and I lost my hearing. Thanks for your care.

Dr Lijo has never been able to cure my problem, over 20 years of my visit, unfortunately sometimes I end up with her, she has real doctors as her partners. I will be better off getting over the counter medicine than consulting her, she is nothing but a waste of time

Dr. Lijo was afraid that I was under high risk of cancer; I was in shock thinking I was going to die within a few months. I was traveling for business and did not slow down to follow the instructions of the warning; she made the appointment for me for further evaluations to ensure I was out of risk. In several occasions she has provided not only the medicine to cure the sickness, but also the one to avoid or reduce side effects. Very thorough exams. I like her very much. You get more for the money :)

Have been treated by Dr. Lijo for over 13 years. Have always found her diagnosis and follow up outstanding. She visits patients at the hospital and has given me medical advice that has prevented serious conditions. Her care is exceptional.
