Dr. Maria Isabel Macduff, MD

Dr. Macduff is a fantastic doctor! Never before has a doctor spent over a half hour trying to understand my complaint and every time I have gone to see Dr. Macduff she has spent at least that much time conversing with me to help me better understand my health and how to help myself. She is a compassionate physician who takes her time with you instead of constantly watching the clock like I was used to before her. I couldn't recommend her enough!

I was so disgusted with this so-called DR. i cant believe she still has a job!!! especially in this town were theres so many "REAL" caring DR.S, take my advice, dont go to her, she wont be working in this town much longer!!!

I had read a very, almost over the top, negative of review Dr. Macduff online prior to my visit. My experience, however, was completely contrary to this review. I found in nearly every aspect of my experience was comfortable and efficient. The receptionist was kind, the nurse was sweet and attentive, and Dr. Macduff has an absolutely perfect disposition. She is very knowledgeable, level, pleasant, and communicative. She is also easy to talk to and listens very well. Both my mother and I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Macduff and will be continuing to visit her in the future. Highly recommended!

Never in my life have I received such consistently poor service or care from a doctor. I pride myself on my patience, and for each of the three visits I went to this doctor I found myself extremely irritated by the care I was being provided. Not only did Dr. Macduff have me wait 20-30 minutes each visit, she also belittled me when I asked about a medication I heard might be helpful to me. When I showed her a rash on my hips, I was told my underwear was too tight and that I needed to wear baggy cotton underwear (laughable, considering I have been wearing the same brand for about 4 years and the place that I had the rash my underwear does not even sit on), even more laughable was that the next time I came in for a follow up she didn't even ask about it but rather asked why I made an appointment. I could go on more about her bed side manor but you can assume it never got any better. The office itself has a very 80's feel to it (seems to have been decorated/designed when she graduated… and has never seen an update) and does not exactly represent a sterile environment. The staff just give excuses for the Doctor. The central location was the main reason I chose this doctor, but let me tell you, I would rather drive to Ventura or Oxnard if it means I never have to deal with this joke of a practice ever again.

Awful Experience... This women is moody, unprofessional and has the most absurd medical opinions I've ever heard of. NO ONE SHOULD GO TO HER IF THEY CARE ABOUT THEIR HEALTH!

I went to this doctor for my immigration health examination. The doctor told me that I had syphilis but I knew that there was no way I could get syphilis. They asked me many mean questions like, if I was involved in prostitution. They also judged my immigration background. They mentioned that it might be that my result was FALSE positive but they gave me medicine before the confirmatory result was out and asked me to take it right away! They were so mean and so judging. Not professional at all! They said I was likely to have AIDS!! I was told the confirmatory test result would be ready in 2 days but they did not contact me for over a week! It was not until I called them 9 days later that I found out my test was false positive! I didn't have AIDS or syphilis or anything!! They didn't apologize for judging at all. Luckily I didn't follow his direction to take the medicine because I have some knowledge about health care (I'm a biology student). It was a terrible experience. Worst doctor I… have ever seen! Imagine how you would feel if the doctor judge you like that. Doctors are there to help, not to scare patients or judge them, especially if their derangement is not true!
