Dr. Maria Cozzi Mascolo, MD

Looked till found what was wrong. both times found cancer early. Only one problem that is office wait time. But when a good doctor you can expect her to be busy.

My husband had been seeing Dr. Maria Mascolo for past year 2017/18. He didn’t always see her. He would see her assistant Nurse Practitioners or physician Assistants. He would tell them his cough was not going away. They just kept saying he had asthma and gave his asthma medications for months. I finally had enough and got involved and told my husband they should be ruling our lung cancer since he had smoked in past but no one in that office was ruling out more serious illness first. CT scan was done and cancer found at more advanced stage. This is their job and could’ve been found earlier for a surgical cure but now I have to be scared I might lose my husband. I worked in medical profession past 25 years and have never seen such a bad doctor and clinical staff. I don’t want this to happen to someone else. Stay away as this doctor won’t advocate for ruling out more serious illness first!

Dr. Mascolo has treated me for COPD and sleep apnea since 2004. She is thorough, professional, knowledgeable, friendly. She has a way of making every patient feel as if they are important. Her care and treatment are excellent. Now that I have moved to Brunswick it is worth driving 1 1/2 hours to see her in Rincon.

Dr Mascolo is very knowledgable, pleasant, spends adequate time and gives the necessary information needed. She offers a holistic approach to treating patients and listens well to assess the patient's needs. She is not a one size fits all doctor.

Dr. Mascolo is very knowledgable and caring. She explained my condition with accuracy and answered all my questions, as well as going over my xray in detail. This was my second visit and I feel very comfortable seeing her again on my follow-up visit. There should be more doctors like her!

She is the best Doctor I have ever dealt with. Bedside manner is wonderful.
