Maria Mazzotti, DO

I can see where some reviewers have said that Dr. Mazzotti is down to earth and spends time with her patients. That has been my experience, but I would not at all recommend this doctor. She does not follow-up and really seems not to care one bit about her patients. She is distracted and seems constantly preoccupied and rushed. She has only once called me back with test results, and that was after over a week's wait and after I had sent many messages. Otherwise she seems to rely on her colleagues to do this for her. She forgets to call in prescriptions and has read insurance approvals incorrectly, one almost resulting in me getting a test that was not approved and would have cost thousands of dollars had my insurance not called me to let me know. The strangest thing about Dr. Mazzotti in my experience is that she seems to expect that her patients will take as little interest in their own cases as she does. After leaving a message on my phone about my needing a biopsy that she had never… mentioned and that came out of the blue, she left for the day. The staff asked her to call me later that night as I was very worried. She did and the first thing she said to me was, "This was probably more important to you than it was to me." Does not instill confidence, to say the least.

I found Dr. Mazzotti to be extremely thorough and knowledgeable. She took her time in addressing my concerns and answering my questions. I never felt rushed and I always felt that she was giving me her full attention. She related to me as a peer and didn't assume the condescending stance that many doctors often take with patients. I highly recommend her!

Caring, professional practitioner and as busy as any Doctor in a major urban area.

Dr. Mazzotti takes time with me, explains my condition, and thoughtfully devises a thorough treatment plan. She is very caring and goes out of her way to make sure my needs are met.

I have used dr Mazzotti for many years. She is an excellent dr.I have never felt rushed in her office as others stated. She is one of most caring and compassionate drs i have ever used. She has always returned my phone calls and follows up on tests results quickly.

I would not recommend this doctor. I thought I was getting a good doctor since she was highly rated in top docs. Her follow up with lab results non-existent. I needed forms faxed to another doctor for surgery I had to call twice and the other doctor had to call the office. When asked why wasn't notified early about lab results that her office received at least two weeks before I went in all she could say was we're behind in our filing??? That was the last thing I expected to hear from the doctor and IT WAS!!!

Dr. Mazzotti made me feel like I was a huge waste of her time. Not only was the "examination" rushed, but it was followed by no actual diagnosis (until I probed). I had a few questions, but was taken aback when she handed me the prescription and said, "left, right, left...the exit." Of course I realize that she had several other patients to attend to, however surely she could have spared an extra three minutes of her time to answer my questions! Finding another doctor who actually treats me like a human being is the next item on my agenda.

Dr. Mazotti may be a perfectly competent doctor but she always seems rushed, disinterested, and she speaks so quickly I always have to ask her to repeat herself. I am planning on finding a new doctor.
