Dr. Maria De La Luz Nieto, MD

She was wonderful when I needed pelvic surgery almost 7 years ago. OBGYN of the Palm Beaches lied when I asked if they knew where she went to. They also did not forward my medical records although I personally went in to have them forward me medical records to her. This seems to be a pattern for them. Apparently, it was a tough break up when she left their group. I recommend her highly. Wonderful bedside manner, kind and caring and very competent.

It is all about the money! Where to start when she first came in the room did the exam left the room came back and then got on her phone talk to somebody for about 10 minutes. Lied in her notes and said she was in the room with me for 45 minutes.She was supposed to call me and something three days later she called me in the same medication I’m already on. It is definitely on my medication list. She called me I told her I was already on that medication and she billed my insurance again for the telephone call.So I paid the $75 telephone call and now I am writing reviews. Next time I pick a doctor I definitely will read the reviews first.

If you want qutility care delivered with respect... go elsewhere. The surgeon and staff have poor mannerisms and no respect, especially for privacy.

I went to her 3 times. I have recurring UTI's. First time she did an exam, 2nd time she did a cystoscopy on my bladder, about a week later, sha called me and told me I had cystitis and needed to be on antibiotics for six month. Took about a day for them to call in the med to my pharmacy. The last time was a consultation consultation. She told me because of my age, its important to take estrogen, I'm 83 yes old. She was straight forward with me, which I like. However, the front office is another story, the front desk people are rude and need to do something with that front office.

If you want a Dr that is personable & respectful do not go to Dr Nieto. Her manner is terrible. I went to her 3 times. I have recurring UTI's. Told me 4 weeks later ( on 3rd visit} I had cystitis and needed to be on antibiotics for six month. Again when finished she just walked out of room. Took 3 day for them to call in the med to my pharmacy. 3rd time was a consultation. She told me there was no cure & I was OLD and just needed to learn to live with it. I am a young and very active 81 year old. I am even still working.

Dr. Nieto goes the extra step to make her patients feel comfortable and informed.

After hysterectomy I had a situation arise that my gyno said a specialist was necessary, she referred Dr Nietos office. From the first call for appt I should have known how this would end up, but gave the benefit of the doubt. I went to my appt., greeted coldly at the front desk, pulled back to get seated in a hallway, where another woman was sitting as well. She was approached and asked OUT LOUD how her specific issues were, the poor woman answered quietly...( hello? Hear of HIPA?) then when I was seen by the doc she assessed situation quite quickly, told me yes, I need surgery and need to have bladder assessed at one of 2 places and would get back to me when she figures out where. I said when, she said within 2 days. 3 days later I called the office, only to be treated as if I were suppose to know what she was talking about. I asked if they could refer to my records and ask the doctor, of course the answer, ok, we’ll get back to you. 3 days later I got a call, “ you… have to go get the test done somewhere!” me....”WHAT TEST, and WHERE?”. Then she the answer, WE’ll GET BACK TO YOU”. That was a month ago. Needless to say, I won’t be going there! Only 1 star because I couldn’t give ZERO

When they answer the phone they speak so fast that you can barely understand what they are saying. Whatever happened to a personal touch? A smile, a kind word. Most women going to this particular doctor are experiencing something very uncomfortable and embarrassing like pelvic organ prolapse! I remember the days when going to a doctor's appointment didn't feel like interacting with a prison warden. Have some empathy, be nice!

Dr. Nieto performed a complicated surgery for me and during my treatment before the surgery was the kindest and most compassionate physician I have ever dealt with. She was patient and explained everything in detail to me, and put me at ease. My surgery was a success and I had no complications. The Best!

I had an office cystoscopy because of frequent UTI's. I am an older female who also has pelvic floor issues. Dr. Nieto did the procedure without pain or discomfort but rushed out of the room after she finished. As Dr. Nieto walked out she advised me that a nurse would call me in a couple of weeks to schedule an outpatient procedure to remove the kidney stones she found. She told me to dress since I was finished I could just leave. No nurse was with her or came in to see if I was okay, terrible protocol for a medical office. The whole procedure took about 10 minutes. The two weeks have long passed and I have never heard back. I decided if I did hear back I would not schedule the procedure with her. I got the report and sent it to my primary who was adamant that I see a urologist to make sure about the diagnosis and findings. He referred me to a urologist. I will never go back to that office for it is a cold, impersonal system. Those of us who need the medical care must find someone… wo is not only competent but understands the needs of us who come to see the doctor.
