Dr. Maria V Pantano, DO

This Dr was NOT emphatic, the antithesis of what Dr’s are called to be. She was abrupt, & callus. She didn’t appreciate my explanation of what I thought might have contributed to my pain & the wait time in office was 1 hour.

Dr. Pantano is the doctor I have wanted for years. Kind, involved and caring.

I don't understand why the people that answer the phones are so rude, maybe that's why people are changing doctors and going elsewhere...it's not a one time thing, it's all the time...if u don't like your job get something you like

My mother had pain starting in her shoulder, next wk her elbow, next wk her ribs. Wk after wk pain was spreading on the right side of her body for 7 wks this went on. This Dr wrote scripts for ointments & anti inflammatory meds. Finally her back hurt so bad she could barely walk (my mom saw the Dr 2 days b/4 this). I brought her to HMU where she was diagnosed with bone cancer due to stage 4 lung cancer! My mom went to this Dr faithfully for her check ups, even complained about a cough she developed. My mom died exactly 2 months after her diagnosis. I also was misdiagnosed 5 yrs before, I had shortness of breath & was dizzy. Dr Pantano claimed it was due to anemia. A couple days later I went for a scan due to a hernia, the technician found a clot in my lung turns out I had DVT & PE! Drs @ Hackensack Hospital we’re shocked that I didn’t die. My symptoms should have been checked instead they were dismissed like my mom’s. Beware....

how can the front office be so rude. if you dont want to help people and smile than you should not be in that position. I would reccommend not going there unless they change the staff.

This doctor had the wrong chart when she came in to the room, and argued with me that she had the right chart. She was asking me questions about my profession and symptoms that were completely wrong, and when she realized the error, she just blew it off. Her attitude is one of the worst.

Dr. Pantano is a excellent Doctor. Wonderful bedside manner, very thorough with her examinations. She takes time to explain everything and does not rush you out like some Doctors. She cares about her patients and always follows up. I would recommend her.

I think she is a great doctor! She take her time with you very caring,listens to what's going on with you.the ladies in the office work very hard and are always there to help.

I saw Dr. Pantano several years ago when she was with the Paramount Medical Group in Warren. She was inexperienced and seemed very uncomfortable with me. In my opinion, she is not suitable for any male patient over 50. I asked her to approve a DXA scan and she said, "No! You have no risk factors." After Dr. Pantano left Paramount, my new physician did approve a DXA and it turned out that I had osteoporosis. Too bad that I did not know about this a few years earlier.

The whole office is very polite and always gives you the time of day. Highly recommended for any Doctor in this office.
