Dr. Maria G Pyontek, DO

Dr. Pyontek is committed and dedicated to her patients care. My mother was hospitalized three years ago for about 2-1/2 weeks. The doctor did not miss one day of visiting her in the hospital. This was after she saw her patients at the office. Three years later we are at the hospital again. This time over the thanksgiving holidays. The doctor came to see my mother on thanksgiving day before going to her dinner. Mom had to go to the hospital by ambulance, this was her third visit. I called dr. Pyontek’s answering service and left a message mom was going to hospital. When I called the doctor’s office in the morning, dr. Pyontek had already went to see her before coming to the office. She works very well with the other doctors and will make calls to discuss her patient. She is very thorough in her diagnosis and considers all possibilities in a manner tha is easily understood and has no problems explaining if you don’t understand.

As another review stated: a bit scattered. Yes, that is a nice way of putting it. She takes a very long time to do what other good doctors do in half the time. She seems to have OCD when it comes to legal matters and will not treat you or help you for any symptom or diagnosed illness if there is a specialist that would cover that complaint. She would rather you remain in pain, then stepping on another doctor's toes. Is very focused on money and getting paid what she feels her years of schooling have given her the right to earn. Yes she is smart, but ....

In my experience she is very patient centered and takes the time to really listen. She can sometimes be a bit scattered but I will take that as she is the first MD I have been to to treat me as a whole human, not just judge me from a few quick observations

YOU WILL HAVE HER FULL AND COMPLETE ATTENTION WHEN SHE IS WITH YOU. SHE DOES NOT JUST TREAT SYMPTOMS BUT ALWAYS TRIES TO FIND THE CAUSE.

there is nothing at all negative about this doctor she is incredibly bright and caring and will follow you every single day you are in the hospital. Perhaps she is just a bit too nice, because she allows that lazy arrogant woman to sit at the front desk diagnosing people over the phone when they ask to speak with the doctor. She needs to get rid of her and keep the other woman that goes into the examinging rooms with you. her caring personality is more in line with this fine doctor

Dr. Pyontek is a truly caring and generous doctor. Never unreachable, spends incredible amounts of time with each patient, and a brilliant woman.
