Dr. Maria Cristina Abantao Sabio, MD

I took my son to see Dr. Sabio for the first time. He has Asperger's and growth hormone disorder and is currently being treated by specialists for both. Dr. Sabio is AWFUL. She was incredibly rude the entire visit. She talked over us. She referred him for unnecessary treatments (sent us to an ophthalmologist after having him do a vision test without his glasses on when his optometrist had just seen him for an exam a few weeks before and didn't feel he needed anything but glasses, tried to send him to a psychiatrist when he's already being seen by one). We were there to get a referral to the GI his endocrinologist had recommended and she threatened to call DHR on us for not feeding him because he's so small. She went to do his physical exam and when she got to his privates, he asked for a male doctor to do that part. She told him she was a doctor and he needed to get over it, pushed him back on the table, and did it anyway. I will NEVER take my child to her again. My fiance sees her… husband and loves him, but she is terrible.
