I have been trying to get answers in reference to a bill I received after having cataract surgery since may of this year. I have charges that were not on my original contract. I keep receiving more and more bills asking for money and yet I cannot get a call back from anyone. I am beginning to think it’s all about the money and not patient care.

I had both eyes done...multi focal lenses...expensive but after 40 years of glasses I have not worn them for 12 months since surgery. Scott is pleasant and the practice is efficient...if you want your hand held by Dr. Scott you will be disappointed...but if you want your surgery to come out really great she is the one...my wife is going next month. Just a comment in general- if you qualify for cataract surgery do not wait...it is truly a remarkable procedure...cataracts are insidious and you do not realize the vision loss over time...do not think twice.

Dr Scott did my cataract surgery nearly 20 years ago. I opted for lense implants that corrected my vision. Fast forward 20 years. I thought I finally needed glasses for daily tasks. Wrong. Just a minor laser adjustment and I’m seeing perfectly again. I think she’s the perfect pairing of science and art. 5 star in my book and I’m a very picky nurse.

Was not too impressed. I went to Chesapeake Eye Care and Dr Scott find out if my cataract was to a point of getting surgery. I felt that the staff was more interested in making a sale of upgraded procedures and lenses than giving me a medical diagnosis. After two hours of testing I finally got to see Dr Scott for a few minutes. She said my cataract was not yet to the point of surgery and seemed to lose interest in me as a patient. I guess I’m not a money maker for her. I will look for another opinion and another doctor for my possible eye surgery.

Both my husband and I had wonderful experiences with Dr. Scott. Not only did she remove the cataracts in both my eyes and implant distance lenses, but actually repaired a botched cataract surgery that my husband had with a different doctor in another organization. Dr. Scott was professional, extremely knowledgable in her field and we both felt she was genuinely concerned about us. She and her staff are wonderful.

Miracle Worker? Yes!!! My mom-in-law, a 50 year diabetic, 15 year old cataracts FINALLY got Dr. Scott to remove her cataracts. One eye was difficult & the other needed to come out as a whole cataract. Dr. Scott took the time to do it right! So very pleased...my mom-in-law can see!! My parents both went to Dr. Scott and had great results, so that is why we went with Dr. Scott. She & her staff are amazing! 10 stars**********

After having my surgery, I had issues with my left eye. I had follow-ups with my personal eye Dr, in which I would tell her what was wrong. After 3 months of complaining, she finally 'found' what the issue was. When I went back to see Dr. Scott, she made it seem like it was my fault that it happened. When I did my research on the internet, they stated that most of the time it was a complication from surgery, where the surgeon didn't do something correctly. I didn't appreciate that. And it's very hard to get through to their office. The number they provide is for the call center, not directly to the office.

I came all the way from Boston to have my cataract surgery with Dr. Scott. Her level of professionalism and her ability to accurately diagnosis my eye problems was beyond reproach. Her concern for her patient and her bedside manner are fantastic! And her follow up is just fabulous! In this day and age you rarely have a doctor give you a personal call the night after surgery to see how you are doing! And all the follow up just goes along with concern for the well being of her patients! I recommend her very highly because she delivers such a positive experience with such a high level of caring.

Dr. Maria Scott is a kind, thoughtful, person. She is an expert doctor and her facility is the most efficient I have ever encountered. She is the best doctor I have ever met. My eyes are perfect after my two cataract surgeries, and I will be forever grateful to her. My sister has her eyes done a few months before I had mine done. We are both 100% pleased. I highly recommend Dr. Scott and her Chesapeake Eye Care and Laser Center.

The entire experience from start to finish was exceptional. Extremely friendly and efficient staff. Dr. Scott was professional and very informative regarding the process. I would highly recommend this practice to anyone considering cataract surgery.
