Dr. Maria I Seliverstov, MD

She is exactly who I need.

She is very sophisticated and knowledgeable about my treatment issues. She is also very patient with me and never seems to rush me along.

I find Dr. Seliverstov to be kind, caring, non-judgmental, patient and encouraging. Dr. Seliverstov has helped me through very difficult periods in my life. She helped me maintain my sanity while I cared for my handicapped, aging husband for many years until he died. With her help I have been able to manage my depression. She continues to help me be strong. I can't thank her enough.

My sister had a full blown meltdown in her office. She said to take her to Northridge hospital and have her admitted for suicide watch. She tried to push us out the door before the episode was over. I asked if there was somewhere we could "regroup" before we went outside. She said we could go into the waiting room. If you are referring someone to the hospital for suicide watch, you should NOT force the patient out into a waiting room in the middle of a psych episode! I had to walk outside with my sister crying hysterically. Unprofessional and insensitive! On top of it, she NEVER called to see if she was admitted or what happened after we left. FIND SOMEONE ELSE! If I could click NO stars I would.

Would not recommend her to anyone. She doesn't care about her patients, keeps prescribing drugs even if the patient is not capable of following the regimen or simply doesn't want to take them. She doesn't care if her treatment methods work or not, just keeps charging Medicare for patients visits. Very sarcastic and condescending towards patients and their families.

This doctor is a nightmare. DO NOT go to see her. She condems people to death with high-risk drugs!
