Was charged over $700 for a basic eye exam! DO NOT GO THERE!!

BEWARE, do not go to this doctor. They do not disclose the total cost of the exam to you. I asked them how much was the exam and was told $230 and paid that. Received a bill months later saying that my insurance didn't pay and I owed another $250???? They will not give me anything that I signed showing I agreed to pay the extra money, other than the final document saying I will pay if insurance wouldn't pay, etc. Which of coarse I didn't mind because I didn't have vision insurance. DO NOT GO THERE!!!

Went in for eye exam and glasses at vision works. She tried charging insurance for 45 min sit down consultation. Insurance denied. Then rebilled spectera for eye exam which she was paid. Then billed my bcbs for consultation in which they paid. She recieved over 600 dollars for an eye exam . Ripping off insurance companies. Then i get a collection notice for 100 2 yrs later. I have receipt that is paid in full. She is a scam artist and continues to do this to many people. Look up her reviews every where. DO NOT SEE THIS SCAMMER

Was charged $200 for a normal eye exam. When I called to ask questions about the price and if they had billed my insurance I was told that yes they had, and that if they hadn't my bill would have been $350. For a normal nothing special eye exam?!?! We contacted others Binyons to ask what they charge for exams and we were told $80. And then we were told that we weren't the first people to call that had been extremely overcharged by Dr. Shajida Espat Reich.

Most thorough exam I have ever had. All of my questions were answered. She has a great personality and her assistant was very efficient.

Dr Reich has been taking care of our family for many years. She has always been caring and professional. I have always had great results. However, she has had a few less than professional assistants or front counter personnel. But Dr Reich as always stepped in and made good.

Dr Reich has been my optometrist for several years. I have received excellent care from her and her staff. Her exams are thorough and accurate. My insurance is Medicare and a supplement and her office staff informed me that my insurance would cover my annual medical eye exam, but not my exam for eyeglasses prescription. That cost was $60. It has been the same for me each year. I highly recommend Dr Reich for her professionalism and accuracy. I have recently relocated to Colorado and I hope to find someone as good as Dr Reich.

This doctor and her staff engage in fraudulent billing practices. They will tell you they will bill your insurance but months later you will receive a bill asking the patient to cover the amount that was supposed to be covered by insurance. I found out they didn’t bill our insurance. They billed the wrong insurance which is very doubtful because we didn’t list this insurance on our form. The only reason we went to her was because she was in network while she was inside visionworks. If we have known we would be dealing with her and not visionworks we would have walked away. Read her reviews at BBB, google and yelp. Her office has been doing this tactic for years I’m surprised she is still allowed to operate until now. She now owns Optimal Vision Care near Grocery outlet and Big 5

There is a reason its so easy to make an appointment! This was the worst experience my family has ever had at an optometrist before. I, by myself, was charged $520 for a basic eye exam. Not only this, but they dilated my eyes and didn't even give me the refraction test to see if I actually needed glasses! What did I even pay for again? My family has the BEST eye insurance plan and it should've covered everything but a $10 copay. In the 10 pages of paperwork I had to fill out there was a box to write your Eye Insurance info, and below it was a box to write Health Insurance info. Weird I thought, but I filled it out because the receptionist asked me to fill out everything. THAT WAS A MISTAKE. Of course these dumb dumbs billed only my health insurance and then proceeded to tell me later over the phone that if they would have charged my eye insurance, I would've been paying even more out of pocket. There are so many other reviews like this! I wish I would've done more research before hand!

Notwithstanding her medical expertise, dealing with Dr. Espat Reich and her associates has been like dealing with George C. Scott's character in the movie "The Flim Flam Man." My guess is that the people giving her good reviews are either friends, family or shills working with her.
