Dr. Maria Socorro Ambulo Geronimo, MD

Dr. Geronimo at MMG-Matthews has been my PCP for at least 10 years now. She is absolutely fantastic and I trust her without question. She takes the time to listen to me before giving some suggestions and creating a treatment plan. She does not push medications, and in fact usually suggests lifestyle and/or diet changes before meds when appropriate. Jill was her nurse for the longest time and she was wonderful and easy going...I used to see her around Indian Trail and Matthews. But when CMC became CHS and started declining, they cut out the regular nurses, so now there is a different one every time I go. But Dr. Geronimo remains the constant there. Now that CHS has become Atrium and swims in the toilet with the rest of the money hungry hospital systems, I am SO HAPPY that Dr. Geronimo is leaving Atrium/MMG to join a new practice. Once her non-compete period ends, I will be following her to her new practice without ever looking back. She knows me, my history and hope she remains… my PCP for many years to come. If you are lucky enough and have a chance to become her patient, jump on the opportunity....you and your health will never regret it!

Dr. Geronimo is the best primary doctor I've ever had. She is kind, patient and caring. Always willing to take the time to make sure that my concerns are addressed and that I understand. She is very knowledgeable and thorough. She is the best and I am so grateful she's my doctor.

Dr. Geronimo is patient and thorough. She spends as much time as needed to explain information and answer questions. I never feel as if I'm being rushed. She follows up and follow through and I appreciate that. Her nurse and office staff are also very friendly and helpful.
