Dr. Maria Virginia Stubbs, MD

My wife and I came to Dr. Stubbs to become new patients. We just moved from Florida to Crossville. We found Charlotte and Christine both very professional and friendly! The nurse also was very professional and nice! The Dr. And staff got us both in, seen in and out in less than an hour! We recommend them strongly! Thanks Team Stubbs!

Red blood count, hemoglobin, hematocrit levels, I've been the same for over 4 years. Above-normal. She finally decided to send me to a heart specialist and cancer specialist. Blood pressure has been running 150 over a hundred for 4 years. Flash visit it was 195 / 110. Turns out I've got blood cancer. Polycythemia. Could have died from stroke heart attack or blood clot. Unbelievable. Never looked in my eyes never put a stethoscope on me to listen to my heart. Incompetent.

I will NEVER go to this doctor again. I have made sure my friends, family and co-workers will never go to her. I went to her for several years and all was fine until my last visit. My last visit was like a surreal and bad visit to the Twilight Zone and left me convinced this woman is a NUT JOB. At this point I wouldn't even trust her to change a bed pan. To summarize my last experience with her: I needed to see her as a follow up to a visit to a walk in clinic for a chest cold/infection and I needed medical leave paperwork filled out for my job. Her response was to berate me for using a walk in clinic as she “preferred to do everything herself.” Sorry, but if I am sick and/or in pain I am not waiting until it is convenient for her to be seen for help. Urgent care centers and walk in clinics exist for a reason she seems to fail to grasp. And without even knowing why I was there to see her yet, when she saw the leave of absence paperwork I had brought with me she blurted out “I… am not getting involved with anything I did not do.” What? Really? She does not even know why I am there to see her and she decides she is not getting involved because she sees paperwork I need for my job and she has some kind of issue with my using a walk in clinic? Really? And then when I try to discuss why I am there she won't even listen to my needs and acts like I am some kind of criminal trying to pull a con job on her. She ended up leaving the exam room and refused to help me. And billed me and the insurance on top of it all. That was the most unprofessional experience I have ever had with a health care provider. As far as I am concerned,

I found Dr Stubbs and her team extremely helpful. One of the nurses apparently lives near me and welcomed me to Crossville. I am newly retired and very healthy. Dr Stubbs asked me great questions and asked if I had any concerns.I am physically active ,and eat well. I have quite a lot of family history that would be a concern but very fortunate that I have been able to keep diabetics, heart, blood pressure and stress at Bay with good habits .Grateful to have a good team there when I need them.

My husband and I both saw Dr. Stubbs for a time. I didn't like her at all and found her staff to be unprofessional. My husband decided to stay. The office manager (Brian) is awful. Hung up on me multiple times. Tried to get our records transferred, but Brian said he wasn't going to "do us any favors". Horrible doctor, horrible staff.

Told me my heart sounded good when in fact I had severe mitral valve leakage. I ultimately had open heart surgery for valve replacement. I never saw her again. She is a very poor communicator. She is not qualified to be a doctor.

Her husband Brian is her office manager. The man treats everyone like crap, especially the staff. His abusive tone and demeanor made my first visit my last.

I was charged a $100 deposit and told she does not take patients with my condition. I was told my refund would be sent in the mail..I fought for the refund but never received it. Stay away, she is not certified to practice in the local hospital and is not equipped to deal with many conditions. They will take your money and then treat you rudely, keeping your funds and the local court does not process these types of cases.

The worst interpersonal skills I ever encountered. She refused my referrals, and my last visit she acted like she never met her. I'm turning her in to the board of medicine asap.She refused me treatment. My attorney wants to su her.I agree.Run do not go to her.
