Dr. Maria Jaimi Valente, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Valente' since 2016. She is professional and a straight shooter with a caring heart which I love about her. I can ask her anything medically and she gives me great advice. I'm so blessed and lucky to have her as my doctor. Her staff has been with me just as long and always make me feel special when I see them. It's like a big family.

First, I want my physician to be competent. In your first meeting with Dr. Valente, you'll recognize that she is an excellent physician, current on the research in her field, and a very smart woman. All, of that is moot, though, if the physician doesn't listen to the patient. Dr. Valente pays close attention to what the patient reports and is concerned with the well-being of the patient from all aspects. She truly cares for her patients and has the ability to make you feel like you're the only patient she is caring for. Amazing. Finallyâ??and we appreciate this so much more after dealing with other oncologistsâ??in her specialty it is vitally important to be both direct and positive. Dr. Valente will give it to you straight, but with a great, positive attitude, and an aggressive plan. She balances this with tremendous grace, in an area of medicine where it must be very difficult to do so. No one wants to need an oncologist, but if you find yourself in such a position, I'm… convinced there is no one better in Jacksonville. Oh, and finally, the staff at CSNFL are unreal. The organization is run extremely well, and we were impressed at every turn. The staff know the names of EVERY patient that walks through the doors. It's really amazing. They create a very caring environment. We love them dearly for the way they cared for us.
