Dr. Mariahelena N Barboza

Maria Barboza was my dentist for a while until I found out that her skills as a dentist left a lot to be desired. I needed a three tooth bridge because of a missing tooth in which I insisted that it be made of porcelain/ceramic although she insisted that it be made of zirconia, which Is much more expensive. The temporary bridge never seem to fit quite right and when the permanent bridge arrived, she sent me up with an appointment to have it cemented in. Like the temporary bridge, The permanent bridge didn’t seem to fit securely and in two weeks it fell out on a Friday night. Along with being mad, I went into a panic mode and decided to submit it back in myself, and when I went back to her office on Monday morning, she told me that by me gluing it back in that’s the bridge was now unusable. I found out let the bridge that she ordered, instead of being around $2000 for one made of porcelain/ceramic, she took it upon herself to order a zirconia bridge, which cost $4800 and she never once… told me or even asked me about it. It wasn’t until I set up a meeting with her to find out why my bill was so high, and it was at that time that I found out what she had done. I would definitely think twice about having any dental work done by her.
