Dr. Mariam Milad Mina, MD

Depression was out of her “scope of practice”… she refused to fill out fmla paperwork despite being her patient for five years. Ended up with a care navigator who told me I was throwing a fit and ended up in the hospital suicidal. Luckily I’m better now but I’m happy to not have to go back to UTMC or Dr Mina.

Dr. Mina is not really personable. It seemed like she didn't take the time to really know me when I was her patient. Additionally, when I asked for a referral for a mammogram, she wanted to schedule a physical. When I asked the nurses to have her call me to discuss the reasons, she refused and sent a letter terminating herself from my care. I am disturbed at the lack of professionalism and do not recommend her. Very unsatisfactory!

3 visits totaling hundreds of dollars out of pocket lasting less than 5 minutes each b/c she was in/out office on/off phone & lastly rushing to "meeting" -1st visit instructed NOT to take a med until she does workup. 2nd visit documented symptoms I NEVER had, rx'd meds & when had reaction necessitating ER visit then stated in records 3rd visit I refused to take meds, ignored reaction, & stated "noncompliance" which impacted future care with new provider negatively. I would never ever go to this doctor if she were the last one standing.

Very knowledgeable and listens. She is the first doctor in my 42 years that has listened. She is very understanding and compassionate. If your looking for anything that is addictive she's not your doctor but if you are looking for a kind compassionate one she's your doctor.

The staff of the office are rude and just don’t care. Dr. Mina in my opinion doesn't listen and attempts to convince you to agree to unnecessary tests and procedures. Feels like they’re trying to milk services and such out of patients to gain more money.

She is a terrible doctor. She was my family doctor. I had two incidents. 1) According to another doctor I met, she prescribed unnecessary medication to me that caused a severe allergic reaction. 2) Based on a lab test, she diagnosed my problem and prescribed a medication. I met a specialist and it turned out that the diagnosis and the prescription she prescribed were completely wrong. During my visit, I also felt many times that she just wants to finish her meetings and does not care for her patient's condition.

Love her. She listens @ every visit. Office staff leaves a bit to be desired, tho.

She always takes the time to listen to me and offer any advice she can. She does not make me feel like I am rushed or unworthy of her time. GREAT doctor!!
