Dr. Marian Passaro Mcdonald

Would not recommended her to anyone. Never saw her before surgery got the impression she did not really want to do my surgery. Said she gave me a list of possible complications in the OR holding area, but when one occurred. her PA did not know what a seroma was. I had to look it up at home so I was never told about it. The PA took the sutures out eight day after the surgery. Two days later my leg incision opened half way If the doctor knew this was possible, put a small drain in and leave the sutures in longer? If the PA had know what it was, call the doctor in to check before removing the sutures? Through the process of packing the opening I was told to massage the incision to prevent a dimple. She must have know this would occur because despite my religious massaging, a dimple is present. Even a simple procedure should be given the time and respect i felt I did not get.

I had the good fortune of being under the care of Dr. McDonald for the second time. She is thoughtful, passionate, and genuine in her care. I had endoscopy done for the first time. The day of procedure I was extremely nervous until I arrived at the hospital and was met with a very caring nurse. I was made to feel so comfortable by the entire staff. I cannot express how easy this procedure and recovery was, Dr. McDonald is amazing! Post procedure Dr. McDonald answered my endless, nervous questions with calm reassurance and understanding. You can tell she cares very much for her patients and has a great passion for what she does! Thank you Dr. McDonald, you are truly the best!

Went to see her with a very obvious right side inguinal hernia. The left side was not as obvious, I had pain and a pulled groin for almost a year. She said that was hernia as well and recommended a double. I was excited with the thought of finally knowing I would feel better! She doesn't do laparoscopic and would have referred me out. I wanted to get it over with and asked about recovery time if cutting me. She said incisions are small and I'll be "walking like a cowboy" for several days but a man of my stature would heal quickly. Ok, I trust her, after all she's a surgeon. Eleven months later still have same acute left side pain, groin feels pulled, and add a numbing nerve pain and swelling and I am worse off then before the surgery. Had my follow-up expressed my discomfort was told to give it time. Went back again a couple of months later..same thing. Went back for a third time, still in pain almost 8 mths later. You think the Dr. McDonald would have seen me at this point? Answer is… no, again I left wondering if I will ever be better again. No recommendations, just pay your copay and leave. By the way, because I have crap insurance, I am in debt to St Lukes $4,000 and every time I walk in to her office it cost me $93. Now, I get to go pay more money and waste more time seeing other practitioners until I hit the doctor lottery and find a good one. Yeah me!

Dr. McDonald was amazing! It was my first time having a surgery and I was EXTREMELY nervous! My surgery went well and most importantly painless. I am happy to know this doctor is professional and good. Her staff even called to follow up after the procedure! Wow! I love that they think of their patients after the fact. It shows a true caring doctor. I was very pleased with my experience and was lucky to have been referred to her. I highly recommend her.

As good as a surgery can be.

Dr. McDonald answered more of my questions, and presented diagnoses and surgical plan in the 30 minutes of the appointment than 10 other doctors had done over the course of the past 2 years! Though facing multiple surgeries, the feeling of relief I feel is amazing. Finally a Doctor who is intelligent, no nonsense and professional!

A fabulous individual a credit to her professsion. the staff is excellent in every way.

After introducing herself, I was handed a waste can and told "remove your gum, I do not examine anyone who chews gum". When I questioned her rudeness, she told me a story of a "fat" woman in her waiting room that choked on something, and that she was not equipped in her office for that kind of emergency. Guess she never heard of the Heimlich. Well, I was there for a routine pre-colonoscopy exam, which I believed to have nothing to do with my mouth! She also didn't let me get a word in edgewise. Completely turned off by her. Go somewhere else.

I went to see this MD for a second opinion. This doctor was rushed and tried to give me second opinion without looking at the disc I had brought, and before hearing my questions and concerns. This MD created an atmosphere of discomfort. Perhaps this helps patients to leave her office asap? I don't know, but, though her rep is she is a good surgeon, I would never want to deal with her again. Rush, rush , rush and little sign of compassion.

She is terrific and how she keeps going is amazing because she is very busy. That is because she is excellent in her field. She came to my rescuewhen another breast doctor butchered me. Not only did she take the terrible scar away that he gave me but the scar tissue that was causingall of the pain as well. She is the best and she kept her opinion of the doctor and what he did to me to herself. I know what she thought though!
