Dr. Marian Mckinlay Orr, DO

Disrespectful, No empathy, Avoid at all cost. Dr. Marian Orr. I was a patient of her at Wellcare in Las Vegas NV. She Has no empathy for her clients especially non-whites. Her diagnosis are all over the place and just wants to bill you as much as she can. She overbooks her appointments and sometimes you can wait over 2 hours for your scheduled appointment. She constantly puts other health providers down based on their credentials. She always wants to be politically correct and always throughs it your face that’s she’s a “Doctor” and even though you might be a nurse practitioner or etc...who specializes in psychiatry and have more on job training than her, she will bluntly tell you that she an actual doctor and your views and opinions are nothing to her. She’s very insecure and overweight and not easy on the eyes, but that’s besides the fact. The way she treats patients is like your not a human being. She has this aura about her that seems like she very insecure and her only… gratification about herself is that she’s a doctor. If you are one who is confident about yourself with or without a title, you best not surround yourself with her. She only respects other doctors with more experience than her and older white males if your not that, your nothing to her. I think she would rather spend her time doing other things than being a doctor, so because her choices are slim (income wise) she’s a doctor. I wouldn’t recommend working with Dr. Marian Orr because she’s not a true doctor of health especially mental health because in my opinion I think she needs a psychiatrist herself. Her issues with herself are just pouring out her pores in your face when speaking to her. The places I recommend when searching for a good psychiatrist in Las Vegas Nevada is “Sevenhills Hospital” and as long as they don’t hire her one day, they have some really good and nice doctors that are really trying to help.

I was very impressed with the time Dr. Orr spent with me. She was very kind and empathetic. I also feel that her diagnosis was right on. Thank you Dr Orr.

Dr. Orr was the psychiatrist for my son who is diagnosed with schizophrenia who is on medication. I was unable to get hit refills, with her office (Community Counseling Center) and her blowing me off when there was a problem continuing his medication with no response and a complete run around. Unable to get his prescription refilled and after 2 months of trying everything to get his medication and blowing off appointments, my son suffered a psychotic break and is now hospitalized - all because of the stonewalling, and uncooperation with Dr. Orr and her staff. The negligence and willful neglect for her patient is unfathomable to me with the tragic consequences that ensued.

Writes you a subscription but can't get them. She doesn't approve them with insurance carrier so you are SOL. I would consider this malpractice.
