Dr. Mariana Danet, MD

My name is Brandon schwallie I’ve been going to her from 2007 until now still with her . I was in a bad shape of mind frame until I found her she is such a nice doctor who cares about her patients health and mind frame and she has been my doctor for over 15 years now. It took some time finding the right meds but once we did my life improved with in a year had to let the medication run its course. She is the best in davie fl . If anybody is having any mental health problems she is the one doctor who will help you recover and reclaim your life . I’m still with her as my doctor as of 2023 and been with her from 2007. She is the best .

I was depressed and pregnant when I was seeing this doctor. She told me multiple times to have an abortion since I was so depressed, so on the advice of my therapist, I went to the hospital to get a second opinion. The doctor at the hospital called Dr. Danet and she told them I was suicidal. Despite the fact I had told the doctor at the hospital and intake nurses that I was not suicidal just depressed and wanted a second opinion, they believed Dr. Danet and had me Baker Acted, which made my depression worse. Danet did not visit me at the hospital despite the fact her office was a 10 minute drive from the hospital. She did have her psychiatrist friend/doctor who worked at the hospital wait more than 24 hours before giving me a consultation although he'd been there when I was admitted/Baker Acted because of her. The damage she's cause me, my family, and my mental health at a very sensitive time is inexcusable. To this day, I'm wary of mental health professionals and will forever be.

I really like Dr. Danet. She may not take a long time with you but she does listen and understand your needs. My first visit, five years ago, she spent at least 45 minutes with me and my family. We started a plan and it has worked out ever since. I would say go see her.

Dr. Danet, really cares about you and how you are doing. I have been a patient of hers for five years. She is always on time, and talks to you. She will give you med's that you need, but, also will not give you the ones that you ask for if you don't need them. She will return your calls in a timely manner, and try to fix your problem over the phone. I would send any of my family or friends to her. God Bless her.

She is an excellent doctor. Diagnosed fast. Listens well

Dr Danet is a good listener. I find her very knowledgable in her speciality. She very calm.

Completely detached and incompetent physician. I waited 3 weeks to see her. Her cell phone kept ringing in the drawer. She took a phone call about her call schedule. Then took out her Rx pad wrote 2 prescriptions but none of them were the drug we agreed I would try. Four phone calls and 4 days later she faxes in the correct medication. The medication gave me serotonin syndrome a potentially life threating condition. I had to seek medical care. Two days of frantic phone calls resulted in a voice mail from a nurse asking me if I had a question about the medication. In summary, I received no psychiatric care from Dr. Danet. The clinic I saw her at (3400 N 29th Ave, Hollywood, FL 33020) makes you sign a document that you agree to be drug tested on demand â??even if you donâ??t have a drug problem. The lady that checks your insurance eligibility gave me the phone to wait on hold and chase her down when they came online. The lady at the front desk actually hung up on a patient because they… didnâ??t or wouldn't spell their last name. If you are suffering from a psychiatric illness I cannot recommend this doctor and/or clinic. I get the impression this clinic is only in business due to court-mandated drug therapy.

My new psych. due to my old one retiring, has her prescription pad out with pen in hand before I even sit down. She sidetracks any thing I might want to say just by asking the same question for a year now. How are you doing with your meds.? Before I could say anything substantial, like " I really feel like dying and tried it last month" my scripts are written and I'm being rushed out 5 minutes tops. She never once in a year asked me some basic questions like... hows your sleep, appetite and do you feel like harming yourself or others. My psych. history on my first visit detailed some episodes of self harm and suicide attempts. I miss my old Doc. It was very difficult to even find her. I feel lost and alone.

She dispenses medication but does not follow up - I called her office because the medication she prescribed made me feel really weird - but she ignored my comments and told me she could call in a higher dosage of the medication for me. I got really scared about the meds and ended up taking it only 3 times. I wish she would take the time to explain the rationale behind the meds.
